I am using TAT and Core Temp, but at the mo TAT is always like 3-4 dgr over Core Temp...what is the most accurate here...or is there another better one?

Core temp is the best. You dont need any other app.

Cheers guys. I will stick with Core Temp.
And 3-4 dgr can make a hell off a diff if you are parannoyed like me
Speed fan always makes me confused
There is a pretty good tut here as how to set it up, but I am always to lazy to read it all

Hm, by board is not listed there "EVGA 680i SLI"...I guess that's why that guy over at the EVGA forum wrote that tut...Will check it out later...

coretemp is the most reliable, but they all still rely on bios to supply appropriate values
my temps dropped quite sharply on bios update to levels that actually made sense

Speedfan.... I also use it to control my CPU fan speeds. Works great for me.
Whenever I play a game, they kick on, and then shut off afterwards.
