|

I mainly use the window$ media player on my old pc in the living room, to watch avi movies on my 4:3 tv, or sometimes I use the divx player or the urusoft vidplay.
So my question is not how to change the aspect ratio from 2.35:1 to 4:3 or 6:9, cause that's the easy part and with that you just stretch the movie.
My question is how or with which player (that supports srt subtitles or works with vobsub) can I watch from a 2.35:1 movie only the 4:3 or even the 6:9 center part, by cutting the right and left remaining parts of the movie on the fly to see a bigger picture?
Like taking a ws movie and make it a fs movie on the fly by removing the right and left sides.

To clarify; use Zoomplayer, right click on the movie and choose "Aspect Ratio". Then select the aspect ratio of your choice.

Double-=V=-, thanx, zoomplayer has this feature that I want, by zooming in the 2.35:1 movie and disapearing the right and left parts make it a 4:3 or whatever version I want, or positioning the movie wherever on the screen I want.
Zoomplayer is da best!
RealTronic, if you read my first post, I dont want just to change the aspect ratio which streatches the movie.

If you do that it won't be proper FS because it may cut important areas. Actual FS releases "Pan and Scan" so that you see as much as what is needed as possible.
I wouldn't recommend what you are doing, you should just watch them in WS, rather have bars than have large portions of the movie blocked off.
