mmm, it was released ages ago in Russia. I played the russian version and I really like the game. It has some Homeworld feeling to it, but has some cool stuff.

The game is pretty good from what I've heard, at least the demo. It's similar to Homeworld but has a touch of RPG. There is a problem with the voice acting which is very bad though. I'm trying to find a review but there doesn't seem to be any exactly.

They did a very nice job with the visuals. Here's some pics I took of various instances during the tutorial:

http://img234.exs.cx/img234/3872/starwolves16zj.jpg
http://img234.exs.cx/img234/7948/starwolvesshipdetail0rd.jpg
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/2037/starwolvesmothership8hy.jpg
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/2296/starwolves3dmap2od.jpg

The environments are beautiful, and the ship detail is pretty high. That last pic is the overview map accessed by pressing tab. easy to use, and gives great tactical overview of the situation.

So far looks to be fun. Will update when I've played a bit more.

GFX are no match to Nexus: The Jupiter Incident.

But this game seems pretty ogod, especially the fact that it is absolutely huuge and has heaps of RPG elements

the exe in this release does not match the exe from the demo, not the english demo anyway.

that game is absolutely worth playing. Even though it's RTS you have to control only up to 8 individual characters who can be developed like characters in RPGs - with specialisation on piloting, gunnery, rocketry and ship hardware - very nice imo. Gameplay does not seem to be too linear, since you can soon choose from different missions. Technically the game runs extremely well (very high fps and quite good graphics) with everything maxed out - that means way over 100 fps at 6x AA + 16x AF and 1280x1024. But I admit I got an X800 XT.

8 Characters? How do you get 8? I've only got 6 chars plus the mother ship and it seems like there's no more room for extra pilots/ships. Do you get a new mother ship sometime? Also, *Possible Spoiler* Does anyone else think Astra's Lucky ability is grossly overpowered? At max lvl you can use it 5 times and it makes your ships virtually indestructible. 80% of dmg is totally absorbed. Other abilities are pretty powerful, but this one can singlehandedly turn a battle where all your ships get destroyed into one where you don't even lose a single ship.

Ok Ive been playing this game pretty much non stop since I got my hands on it so be warned spoilers ahead

***********************Spoilers******************************

I was having quite abit of fun with this game, then I started fighting aliens. Ive yet to win a single mission against the bastards. They are absolutely insane. One of the previous posters mentioned Astras luck ability, even as insanely useful as that ability is the aliens will still cut you down almost instantly. A full volley from a wing of aliens will cut straight through your motherships shields and drop the hull more then halfway, and to take one of these fighters or gunships down thats doing it takes a complete coordinate strike from your entire squadron and mothership. There is 2 missions I have the choice of with aliens in them, and after roughly 15 attempts on each mission I think im gonna give up for awhile.
