I rather like the new Madden over the previous versions.
I haven't played the PC version though.
At any rate, the new weapons and such I find pretty innovating and the new controls feel much better as well... course those may only be evident on a console.
The defensive backs finally seem smarter in that i can;t seem to lob bombs down field and have them caught all the time and a scrambling quarterback isn't nearly as effective as it was in the past. I especially like the new collisions and miraculous catches. The "smart quarteback" skill is also neat with the defensive plays becoming visible to the offense if they call them too often.
Then again, this is the console version. I see a LOT of differences on the console version over previous incarnations as far as game play goes. I think they did a really good job on this one.

Hi,
Just installed the cloneCD version... got the menu but after selecting "play" the game popup a message saying that he detected an emulation program installed... cannot do anything more than press "ok" and the game closed itself..
any clue ?

One funny thing about it is that it's released on Xbox1. Thought MS pulled the plug on releasing new stuff to it last xmas?
(No I don't want to start a whole fucking new thread in a different section just for that thought.)

I concur. I have the PC and Wii version. Feels like the same shit I have been playing on the PS2 since 2002. Seriously EA needs to dump the entire Madden series and restart something new.
Why people continue to buy these games every year continues to baffle me. |

PSP version is nice. Graphics seem better. But overall gameplay is same.
Why do I have to hit Analog Down and Up to kick? I find that so annoying. I rather just hit X and X again..

I set commentary on and turned it's volume to max but I only hear the fans and on-field sounds. Same problems or solution anyone?

Graphically yes. Big difference in that but thats it. Overall it feels the same every single year. And I am not a graphics whore. So that is not something that I care too much about.
Also IGN only rated the X360 version .2 points more then the Wii version at 8.7, while the Wii got 8.5, because of the graphics. That is the only difference. So to say the PC and Wii version is crap is stupid, unless you're a graphics whore.
I don't want this to turn into a X360 vs Wii/PC madden game thread. Madden as a whole regardless of what system it is in, is the same old shit. Boring. |
