You mean restricted area?
That wasn't by akella if I remember right.

But metalheart was and it did suck...for some.Very Happy
(of course they were the russian publisher and dreamcatcher was for the rest of the world...but it still sucked for some)

Personally I got nothing against Akella I liked Tarr chronicles(rus version) and Age of pirates. And they got some pretty cool looking games coming soon.

Akella is the game's publisher in RUSSIA. Not worldwide. And the game is being developed by Czech studio Cinemax.

P.S. does it have anything to do with Gary Brolsma & http://www.newnuma.com/ ? :DDD

I know, but somehow I just remember you saying all akella games sucked,so I TRIED to be funny.Smile

They mention that you can hire others to help you,but what I would like to see is actual companions with personalities.
I think that would have made two worlds more enjoyable and loki plus many many more. Killing enemies alone just gets boring fast.

I hope that isn't the standard camera in those screenshots. It looks a little too close for my liking. Wasn't this supposed to be out a year ago?

Seems interesting so far, little budget RPG but not too bad (Similar to Torchlight and Hand of God in a way.)

No DRM or other protection either, doesn't need Impulse or anything like that. Smile
(1.5 GB or so all in all, somewhat bad voice acting as expected and the visuals are a bit dated but it's fun and the translation seems quite OK but the actual dialogue is pretty odd, you start as a boy and your uncle sends you to explore the world via sword and shedding blood ha ha.)

EDIT:

(To show something from the game, not much that isn't already covered in existing media and from the original release earlier last year I think it was.)

EDIT: Well that didn't end all too well, ha!

(As a fun fact you are 12, all stats at 12, level 12 with full 100% affinity to warrior but can choose to be mage or ranger thus either splitting this affinity to 50/50 or 33/33/33 and then rising depending on what you focus on and for some reason looted items and trader stock appear to have level requirement ranges between 25 to 85.)

Haha, heard that term a few times and yeah funnily enough shallow water is more dangerous than wolves or poisonous spiders it would seem, of course trying to go swimming in a full suite of bronze armor is one thing but not even being able to cross a small river safely without fear of drowning is a bit odd though it was funny to see.
(Death is fairly light in terms of penalties but time passes and enemies respawn so it has some downsides.)

Yes I think that describes it quite well, there are RPG like elements to the game however but it's primarily about action.

Choices for example tie back to what I mentioned earlier on what profession you choose which carries consequences later on in the game as per the description above about the game which god you will choose to serve, it's divided into nine Greek goods three specializing on each area which is hunter, warrior or mage and the choice you make will affect the rest of the game in what favors you can expect from the god and how other champions will interact with you. Smile

Speaking of that this is about a sort of contest between these champions so being too friendly or helpful might make your god "annoyed" to use the game term for it which results in a loss of favor or maybe other things, to gain favor sacrifices are needed and at the moment where I am a chicken can be chosen for 100 gold, a sheep for 1000 and a ox for 3000 giving either 5, 10 or 20 favor points I think.

Used to ask for special bonuses or unique attributes but those require a very high level and a very high amount of favor (Which costs a lot of gold or other things to gain such as defeating the other champions in arena battles or such.)

Some quests also allow different choices but there isn't that much of a difference between them from what I've noticed so far.

No real bugs or such encountered yet but sometimes quest items won't count on pickup so you might need to go back to the main menu and into the game again from there to get it to detect that you have the item needed or if possible pick up another such item.
(Stacking sometimes doesn't work either with certain items like fur tails and spider legs which are common on the first island during your childhood but those are only useful for selling anyhow.)

Can also purchase a shovel to dig for certain treasures and some quests only work at a certain time of day like a nocturnal enemy or items like a certain flower only appearing at night.
(Enemies are also more active night time it would seem and townspeople aren't around either so you'll frequently have to rest at camps to alter time, this is also the only way to save the game aside from the autosave mechanism.)

Not that many attributes to improve aside from the basics for each class (Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence plus a few minor helpful ones which are Quickness, Endurance and Focus.) but there is a lot of skills to learn and other mechanics such as warriors being able to learn finishing moves to deal out a lot of damage once various conditions are met.

Tons of items however but still only high level stuff (50 to 80) so I've only bought smaller items like potions, shovels, torches and backpacks (Improves inventory space, either a medium one or a large one, you only need the large backpack and it can only help once so no need to buy several.)

Hazen is even more of a straightforward hack & slash I would say, Numen is also very difficult early on and also gets very open ended although at 1.5 or so GB I don't think the gameworld will be all that big, I find both enjoying though as with Legend Hand of God in terms of entertainment from budget RPG's (Or action-RPG's I guess they're called.)

Ofcourse they can't compare against other epic titles like say Titan Quest to try and give a good perspective about the quality of the game.
(Sort of, Titan Quest had a lot of patches as well and the developers recently reformed after previously going bankrupt to create their other game which is coming along quite well apparently.)

Trader, misc item selection bar, shovel, torches and potions, those small little icons switch category (Armor, weapons, buyback and misc as I call them.) and the ones on the other side are for repair, gender change (Certain armor is male/female only so this switches those for a few gold/drachnar or what the value was again, old Greek coins.)

Finding the scroll is a bit tricky but you are on the right path at least. Smile
(Right click the shovel in the inventory to dig at the current location.)
