So, like, I've got a LCD screen with 1440x900 as the max resolution, and when I use it (which I want to) a quarter of the screen fucking vanishes, and when I move my mouse to that area it SCROLLS (yes, you fucking heard me) to that area, really fucking annoying since I prefer to have everything right in front of my nose.
However, when I use a lower resolution I haven't got that problem.
I've updated from the official NVidia driver to the NGO optimized driver, and that still is shit there.

Anyone of you have any solution? Also, the text is kind of blurry.

16:9 AR, a 1/4 on one of the sides, or a 1/8 on each side?

I'm not on my regular computer, perhaps i could be of more help, but have you checked everything on the nVidia control panel? It has loads of crap, that not only are completely useless, but they can mess up a lot of things.

That scrolling thing you mentioned, it's exactly what happens when you connect a PC to a TV, resolutions don't match, have you got the output settings right? Your PC recognizes the LCD and so on?

I'm pretty sure the new drivers fucked it up since it has worked perfectly before, and yes, I have tried just about everything on the new controlpanel (Give us classic back!).

You mean that kiddy's stuff panel? Where you can change only a couple of things?

I wasn't happy about it either, so i installed new stuff to get the full functionalities back.

You seem pretty sure that it's the drivers fault, so try modified drivers (Omega, NGO, DNA and so on), i got mine at guru3D, the full control control panel, some good tweaks, better performance and so on.

Just remember to read the driver's description

I had this exact problem before. Ended up being the beta drivers nvidia had were causing the problem to which they took them down (some sites are still allowing the downloads from their server) Revert back to the official drivers if your using beta and it should be fixed.

The problem with the drivers was broken screen panning which..was really annoying lol.

I had the same problem too. It was on my dad's computer, he bought a hugeass monitor and the videocard couldn't support it's native resolution so when you tried to set it to 1920x??? it would do the screen scrollign thing.

I think your talking about your monitor scaling & I do not think it's driver related. If you go into your nvidia control panel you have under display a section called " Change Flat Panel Scaling" you can select different features & make sure you selected Use my display's built in scaling & it should fix the problem...I hope this helps... Let me know if it doesn't & I will do a little more reseach on the topic.

the monitor scaling was broken in the beta drivers, that's why they were taken down for awile.
