not,its not exactly a discussion about the film,if it was, then I would have posted it in the other forum.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bridge_(documentary_film)

if anyone have seen this, there is something that I dont really understand, how come you get killed from that? I mean ,well its high, very hight bridge indeed, but you fall into water, and if you fall in the right position (legs),why would you die?

I think that no matter how right you'll hit the water, the resistance created from hitting the water after falling from such altitude will sure cause you some serious damage.

Well yeah of course. I just don't see the point in making the documentary. People suicide every day... so what?

I just got irritated by the "black" guy, seems like he was the type that just didnt give a shit.

Sad for their families tho..

I know this search and rescue guy who works for the coast guard. He said when people jump off our bridges over the fraser river their feet get stuck in the mud and they stay down there for a couple of weeks.

Ya he loves it but it hard to when people die but it doesn't happen. He is a diver. The first 2 yrs of his job he worked nights and never got called out once. He mostly slept. Since then he has seen a few jumpers and said they have massive organ damage. Lots of time they don't find the bodies for weeks because of the muddy water.

I could never have a job like that. But guess he have it in a different perspective. Just like doctors. There to help, and don't look at things like the others. Because some of the stuff is really gross :\

Yet, still, people don't appreciate cops and ambulance workers, despite the gruesome things they see, for some even in an average work day.
