Hey all,
just a quick question.
i have just bought myself an xbox 360, and with it came a 1 month subscription to live, i was going to get the drive flashed, just want to know if i connect it to live will it perform some kind of update that would prevent me from getting it flashed??
I am aware that if i connect it after the flash it will get blacklisted, but i wouldn't mind seeing whats on there before i get it flashed. Is there anything on there for free such as mini games or something like that??
Thanks
I think this should be moved to Console - Techical..
but to answer your question..
if you update on live you can still flash it, it has nothing to do with the software thats on the xbox...
it only depends on your dvd drive if and how you can flash it..
Make sure all games have their pfi , dmi and ss intact and you should hopefully avoid the being blacklisted , Free games on live

but you know what Chinese whispers are like; some newbie will read your comment and suddenly run and spread it all over the internet that the new 2010 Banwave disables all your XBLA games when you're banned.
What's pfi and dmi? Im assuming ss is security sectors?
Yeah , Its the 3 Things that microsoft actively look for ( apparently , Very early versions of Garyops Hitachi Firmware didn't report on PFI / DMI and I didn't see anyone survive the banning with those )
To be safe make sure your video partition is also correct although I have one or two games I still play with no video In wrong place that I haven't got round to brurning again
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
