colonizing the galaxy? never gonna happen.. unless someone effectively creates a vessle that can maneuvre in space... AND protect the human race (and other livings) onboard, from the extreme radiations in space..

Humanity won't extinct that easily. Its out of question that soon things are going to escalate and we will be massively decimated. So my guess is a big war within the next 80 years, with some billions of casualties. Oh yeah, and its time for a new virus too. I seriously hope I can get to see this hypocrisy go down in flames and dust within my lifetime.
Total extinction would need an intergalactic catastrophe like Asteroids or Pulsars, Supernova whatever. By the time its impossible to predict when this is gonna happen.

a heavy enough asteroid could wipe us out, and that could happen, but I personally believe that we won't get extinct by natural disasters, and despite the tense situation in the world, I believe that a world war will not come to pass, at least in the next one hundred years. the world goverments fear a world war, so I think that despite he current situation will escalate to several large scale terrorist attacks both in Europe and the U.S. and we will response with the invasion of some middle eastern countries, wich will result in a large number of casualities, but a large scale war will not happen.
