I never really liked OXM much anyway. They are fanboys like you said Glottis. Hell for games they review that were ported or something they'll always blame PS2 for the graphics or something. They always bash PS2 every now and then. In OPM or PSM I never see them bash xbox or gamecube. They really don't mention the other systems.

Never read oxm but from what i've heard they gave fable for example a 8.9 and other games not that high scores.

Don't fool yourself, Halo 2 will get scores like that all over the place, just like Halo and Half-Life, because it is good.

it's just good.
5.1 sound, high quality soundtrack, best graphics of all Xbox games, very good AI, deep storyline, many weapons, coop mode, online multiplayer, big levels, lots of vehicles, lots of different enemies.
There is no bad thing you can say about it if you're beeing objective.

Actually I'm sure not a lot of people thought Halo sucked, as almost everyone who owns an Xbox owns Halo as well.
The people who have an Xbox and do not have Halo are a small minority of all Xbox owners. |
Well you better talk to more people that don't just have an xbox. I know a lot of people who thought Halo was insanely overrated. Hell talk to a lot of people here. While the multiplayer was good the single player lacked and that's what counts most. I own an xbox and I don't own Halo. Proud of it too. The main reason I'm getting Halo 2 is because it's online and all my friends are getting it. I'm mainly just getting it for multiplayer. If it didn't I wouldn't buy it. I just hope the single player is like 10 times better.

...and that proves? Just because they didn't like it doesn't mean that they don't have it. They could of bought it from word of mouth, just for multiplayer, etc. Plus that's only UK.
I just don't really get what people see in the game. Repetitive levels, boring AI (really they're not that great. they just come at you in packs), boring weapons, etc. There's only about 2 levels that I really liked in the game. The last level with the Warthog and that snow level. Only when you're outside in that though. Multiplayer is good in the game. That's about it.
