Oh well I'm looking for an app that is able to compare a FTP-serverns content with the local content even if the folder structure isn't the same. More like look after files that are not around and then queue them up.
Let's say the FTP server looks like this with folders:
ROOT
ABCD
EFGH
GHJK
YUIH
GKFP
UIOP
And the local folder:
ROOT
JKLM
GHJK
UIOP
So on server "GHJK" and "UIOP" are inside 2 different folders but on the local machine it's in the same folder. Then it should also be able to determine that the local mahcine does not have the "YUIH" folder and queue up that and any other non-existant folders with content.
is this for manual use or do you want it automated, like an incremental remote backup?
for manual use filezilla and most other ftp clients are fine once you set the 'file exists' logic proper
for automated backup/mirror use you should look into NCFTP, which allows external ftp scripts and overwrite logic
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
