Since the local police don't really have enough to go anywhere on this, I was hoping I could get some help from you guys by spreading this link or at least guidance on where I could post this to help get people involved to try and find out who did this.

Here is the video with full footage of the crime. You can see they start by driving past the house and then make a u-turn about 20 seconds later and a female gets out and picks up the packages. There appears to be someone else driving the vehicle.

A reward is being offered for any tip that can lead to the capture of this criminal.

My apologies up front if this is not allowed. If it's not, please delete/close thread. Thanks in advance! This is in the USA so I know a lot of readers won't be able to help as much but I'd be willing to throw in a video game for any assistance with this.

More details are in the link.

lol christmas shopping in america.
sucks.

the footage isn't clear. it's few days old. chances are it already made its media debut.
nothing can be done. there have been plenty of these shopping sprees. blame the delivery crew for leaving a package on the front step and or the owner who sent a package to his house when he knows he's won't be there. You have to sign for a package for it to be delivered. The owner has the video. Show the video of the delivery. Send it to whoever delivered it and demand monies. simples.

post it on reddit. 4chan. you'll get plenty of lol stupid negro bitch. hope her xbox breaks!!!!111one. and it'll make its way across the interweb. if it's just for collecting dough for helping mens get their stuff back then that's evil in itself.

here they leave a note and you have to call them to give them another time and day for delivery. Or you can get it yourself at their office.

we do that here too. fedex, dhl (the worst) purolator, etc. If you're not home they'll call you... well they call me. And i either tell them to leave it with the super or not. DHL however only shows up once and then you gotta go to their office. Neutral Very idiotic. Fedex/Purolator/UPS try to deliver it at least 3 times and then leave you a slip to go pick it up so you can somehow reschedule your following days to get the parcel.

I never understood why someone would leave a parcel at the front step. At least leave a note on the door so that it can be given to the neighbours.

@WaldoJ - True, footage isn't quite clear but someone local might recognize them or the vehicle. Grasping at straws, but hey, if it helps mitigate or stop this kinda crap, it's a start.

The video was just posted today though, but yes, I know it's older footage. I'm thinking that since it's the holidays, they could/will strike again, so any awareness should help.

@moose - mostly a schedule/time thing. These days, so many things are delivered they don't have time to get a signature. If something is taken, it's usually just eaten up by the delivery place or the merchant as a loss. I've actually been home and was on my way to the door and the delivery person was already getting back into his truck. They just don't care or need a sig anymore.

You can get on the UPS/USPS/FedEx site before its delivered and request for it to be noted they tried, and to pick it up yourself.
Not that it helps with this one, its already happened. But if anyone's getting things delivered and worried about it, its an option.

Maybe he allowed the courier to deal with packages that way, when nobody is at home.

Hey Mikey, just to be sure, but that isn't footage of your stuff getting stolen, or is it? Sad

Offtopic: When I was living in a 10 apartment building in Frankfurt, I once ordered a gamepad online and some days later, when I entered the building (I lived on the 3rd floor) I saw a package lying on the first step of the stairwell. I wondered what it was and after taking a closer look, it was my gamepad And the stairwell is the first thing you see when you open the door, so anybody entering or leaving the building could have taken the pad at any time

Yeah, it was Sad. I've already reported it to Amazon. They are already sending a replacement. Absolutely no issues there. They didn't even ask for a police report or anything. I've had stuff sent there for many years and never had an issue.

It's crazy, but the cameras were just put up a few weeks ago and has caught all sorts of just "activity" in general. Not all of it bad mind you. It's just a real eye opener to see what goes on when no one is around.

Edit: Glad you got your gamepad! I've heard of people having left TV's and such on their porches. Granted, it was a house, but it was wide open for all to see with no yard or anything.

Edit2: @rage - No, legally it isn't allowed Smile. As long as you can prove it wasn't, I suppose one could get away with it. I understand what you're saying though.

Damn that sucks. I also had packages stolen twice from my front door at some point. I wish all the stores required you to sign in for the package. I think only newegg does it. If there is no signature required, they can potentially leave the package whenever they fuck they want and don't care.

Also, depends where you ordered it from. Not too long ago my sister had her package stolen and Amazon sent her new one with 1-day shipping heh.

This is disgusting, I'm sorry Mikey :/

I don't know why, but that woman has the typical look of someone who frequents Walmart on daily basis. It's a very long shot but I'd try to patrol that place for a couple of days, vigilante_mode, and see if you can encounter her again. She has a very recognizable 'shape', although the images are indeed too blurry to see the face Sad

My office wouldn't allow all the stuff I get sent to the office. It's not bad stuff or anything, it's just that my office isn't exactly setup for deliveries like a usual place. It's a bit umm, more secure, so to speak.

And no offense taken WaldoJ Smile. I knew what your point was.
@Ixi - and yeah, you're right. I'm thinking the same thing. Already started notifying neighbors and showing them the video as well.

Disgusting behaviour, I'm truly sorry to see that Mikey Sad It's absolutely the fault of the delivery agents, leaving expensive stuff on the doorstep like that is just wrong and wouldn't happen in Norway *or* in England either - it's always a card asking to either come collect or to phone and arrange delivery. Very glad Amazon are sending you a replacement, they've been excellent lately and really surprising not asking for confirmation of the theft.

.... and since nobody else has asked and I'm incredibly nosy-stroke-curious, that looked like a big-ass package, what was it? Very Happy Laughing

DHL always leaves a card in my mailbox if they can't find me at home. I'll have to take the card with me the next day to my local DHL Office and I have to show my ID to pickup my package.

sucks for you mike, I hope it gets viral and I hope they will catch her.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking of tossing out some fliers around the neighborhood if anything at least for awareness. I know I'm not the only victim this has happened to. If I can get people to at least be aware of what and whom to look for, maybe we can prevent a few thefts.

I still very much enjoy my neighborhood but there's always some bad apples.

And to answer the question about what it was, I'm happy to say it wasn't anything over joyful or fun but something I wanted to get nonetheless. It was a UPS deal for the camera systems of all things hehe. So it weighed quite a bit and I bet they thought they were getting something good, but to those types of people I don't think it will mean much to them heh.

I'm serious about the baiting comment, you should just put up a fake package and wait in the garage. Perhaps leave the gun out but at least get them caught on tape or tackle the fat troll.

I'm not sure if that is a good idea. From what I can tell is that Mikey has quite the fire power at home, but I'm not sure if his rifles are very good for close combat Laughing

I thought that as well, but no sign of the vehicle prior to the UPS truck showing up and not until about 45 mins AFTER the truck dropped off the package did I get this footage. I was skimming through footage looking for that car. There were similar vehicles, but I specifically noticed different rims for this particular one.

from my experience here in italy is a little different:
-no changes on delivery by professional couriers
-if the package is in normal postal delivery, passing by the national posting office (Poste Italiane), you can expect the fuckers to just leave the messages EVEN if you are at home. (they ring the bell, leave the notices and get away)
the fuckers just don't carry the package with them and you can take it the day AFTER you receive the notice, in the local posting office; but in the notice you can read that the delivery man just wrote that i wasn't at home.

bah.
