ive downloaded A movie....divx xvid something...i have all the codecs all my movies work fine.. but this one ...when i turn it on....tried multiple programs...the picture is fine its a dvd rip but the sound is awful loud screeching noises and shit...F....up sound in other means... ANYBODY KNOW WHAT I HAVE TO DO???

Wrong codec (probably).. check the NFO to see how its encoded.

Get a program called Gspot and see what codecs you need for the movie. The only codecs you need is ac3 filter and ffdshow...works for me anyway

i had it before. could be that you need to update your AC3 filters. is it going louder louder louder, peeeeep, silent louder, louder louder, peep, silent ? then u need to upadte

there is also VLC Media Player... This can also help if you in need of codecs... "Why don't you zip it, Zipfero?" - fraich3
