having finally managed to get hold of some money I have been waiting for for a while I have set about designing my own custom pc. budget is around 900 GBP. so far this is what I have come up with.
Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case 59.99
Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLi nForce 650 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard 69.99
Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.67GHz (1066FSB) 199.99
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/LGA775) 49.99
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-8500 1066MHz SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel DDR2 117.49
OcUK GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - OEM 293.99
Antec True Power 650W PSU 79.89
Total: 890 GBP inclusive of VAT
I already have a razer mouse, logitech keyboard, seagate HD & LCD although considering upgrading to a larger LCD possibly!
Is that using the money well in terms of build or could I be doing better for the price. All the parts are sourced from www.overclockers.co.uk
Any input would be appreciated.
Cheers!

Looks good. I think you could save some cash with a E6600 CPU instead of the E6700, with the saved cash get a good cooler (the retail one is fine, but no OC capabilities) and overclock it. I run my E6600 @ 3.35GHz.

Why? Zalmans were never as good as the hardcore cooling devices (the towers)...

Right, 'one of,' but the towers have always been better.

lol didn't say they weren't
you ever seen the ones shaped like car engines? I'd totally get one if it rev'd up when my CPU was being used more and more.

What was that technology called, where you had a cold side and a hot side? I think this is the future of non-liquid cooling.

Peltier
I read somewhere (can't remember for the life of me from where) that this cooling way would have to be used with caution since it creates a moisture
