I need to backup alot of stuff (200 - 300gb) and was just wondering what speed every usually burns at as I finally upgraded from my old 2x speed DVD burner Smile.

The discs I use are Verbatim Taiyo Yuden that support 18x speed

Thanks

Hardly an upgrade. It's only £21 for a dvd writer. With good enough media you should be abled to write at max speed of that media.
Personally writing 300gb of data you're better off getting a new hdd and backing it up on that.

Yah, just get another HD. £ per GB is quite similar to DVD-R's last I checked.

Hardly an upgrade? Its a big upgrade going from 4 - 5 year old 2x speed burner to a new 18x speed burner Smile... and it was £19 actaully Wink hehe

Im backing this stuff up From my External Hard drive.. At least then if the drive dies I have it stored away on disc as well. Just after reading so many threads on forums about drives dying I would rather have the stuff stored on disc as well. Wink
