There is a world beyond ours. Beyond nations, justice, ethics. It never sleeps. It exists everywhere. And once you enter....there is no going back. Welcome to the World of Assassination. You are Agent 47, the world's ultimate assassin. Backed by your long term handler, Diana Burnwood and the power of the International Contract Agency you operate on all continents across the globe to unravel a conspiracy originating from the highest echelons of the world's power elite.
HITMAN will see players perform contract hits on powerful, high-profile targets in exotic locations around the world, from the highly fashionable Paris and sunny coast of Italy to the dust and hustle of the markets in Marrakesh in this creative stealth action game.
Gameplay focuses on taking out targets in huge and intricate sandbox levels with complete freedom of approach. Where to go, when to strike and who to kill - it is all up to you. And for the first time HITMAN will lead with a digital release inviting players into a world of assassination.
The HITMAN Beta launches this week on PS4 and then comes to PC a week later. This FAQ answers all of the need-to-know questions about the HITMAN Beta as well as the most frequently asked questions from our community. But before that, enjoy the HITMAN Beta Launch Trailer!
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE BETA?
The HITMAN Prologue. That’s the very beginning of the game, set at a top secret recruitment and training facility. The Prologue revolves around how Agent 47 joined the ICA and shows the first time that 47 meets his long-time handler, Diana Burnwood.
The Prologue contains an introduction to the gameplay features and mechanics in HITMAN, and two free-form training hits. You’ll be able to replay each hit as many times as you wish throughout the beta period to complete the challenges and the multiple ways to take down your target – as you would expect.

Fuckin A! Downloading now! Thanks for the heads up!
Wow seriously impressed! Looks great and plays great! I love the amount of variety available for completing missions. I like the challenges as well
The AI chatter is fucking hilarious
Game crashed to the dashboard at the end of completing one of the tutorials and the whole screen went black when I got into a fight! The melee and shooting is pretty satisfying too.

The City of Contrasts
Following up on the big fashion show event in Paris and the expansive nature of Sapienza, we knew that Marrakesh had to be something extraordinary. So the team set out to build a location that was both teeming with life and things to do. Marrakesh has been built with a maze of alleys, a range of souks that line the medina walls and a fully-fledged shisha café. Moving upwards, players can enjoy the shade on the rooftop terraces of Marrakesh.
Just beyond the busy marketplace, you'll find an architectural marvel in the shape of the Swedish Consulate building. The very embodiment of minimalistic Scandinavian design;, a mix of glass, concrete and wood offering a powerful contrast to the blazing heat just outside its walls.
A Gilded Cage
As with any HITMAN level, Marrakesh promises players the lure of voyeurism and the thrill of infiltration and it’s something we’ve been working hard on getting just right. Offering two targets, the new story mission in Marrakesh challenges players to eliminate private banker Claus Strandberg, who is holed up inside the secure Swedish Consulate, and army General Reza Zaydan, protected by his elite squad of soldiers at a temporary headquarters in the heart of the city. Both targets will be challenging to reach and both will of course have some entertaining special moments attached to them that will allow players to dole out some poetic justice.
Tons of new live content
With Marrakesh also comes a lot more live content for players and the busy markets and locked down consulate will provide us with great settings for our live features. Episode Three has been designed to keep players busy with a wide range of challenges and opportunities. Along with an entirely new setting for Contracts Mode, Marrakesh will also be the location for upcoming Elusive Targets and Escalation Contracts. We're excited to see what you come up with!
Hitman’s third Elusive Target, the Prince, will appear on Wednesday, 8th June, at 2PM BST. This time, players will have 72 hours to complete the mission, which is set in Sapienza.
In a neat twist of its usual murder-y formula, the next Elusive Target in Hitman will have an identical twin. Kill the wrong man and it's an immediate failure. Considering this is an Elusive Target and you only get one shot at killing him, getting the wrong man will be a permanent, embarrassing mistake.
There was a bit of Hitman weirdness a few days ago when footage of the game's upcoming fourth episode, previously revealed to be set in Thailand, mysteriously appeared in a music video by little-known (and, now it seems, entirely imaginary) indie band, The Class.
As it turns out, that was all a sneaky tease for today's big news that Hitman: Episode 4 Bangkok will soon arrive on on PC, Xbox One and PS4 – on August 16, to be exact.
This time around, Agent 47's target is one Jordan Cross – who eagle, um, eared players might have heard being mentioned in previous Hitman episodes. Cross, we now know, is the frontman of spanglerock indie band The Cross (which explains that music video from a few days ago), and it looks like his singing days are numbered.
Hitman: Episode 4 takes place within (and around) Bangkok's lavish Himmapan hotel and resort, and features 65 new challenges, as well as new gear, items & weapons. That just leaves Hitman's promised jaunts around the US and Japan to come.
The final, complete, official release date has been revealed as January 31, 2017. That's also when the disc release of the game and all its levels will be available, for £49.99 on PS4 and Xbox One, and £39.99 on PC.
As well as all the levels released over the first year, the complete release comes with three bonus missions, the game's soundtrack, a making-of documentary, and an in-game version of the white suit from Blood Money, a rubber duck, and the chrome ICA pistol.
Finished the last mission today, overall the game was good but nothing amazing.. after playing all missions I would give it 8.0/10, solid first season.
