Sega released a 22KB update for the recently launched PC version of Bayonetta today.
It appears the update itself was solely meant to tease a PC version of Platinum Games’ third-person shooter Vanquish, as all it did was add an image from the game (pictured right) to the “Extras” folder.
Vanquish first launched for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010. A PC version was never released.
Now discovered that everyone drool over it... kinda curious to try it again

deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"
Nice from them for bringing those games to PC, but i fail to see why Vanquish is praised
It looks generic as hell so why exactly people like it so much?

The shooting mechanics and feedback are the reason why it's praised even after 7 years. Also, thanks to Shinji Mikami the game turned out to be even better.

Gameplay .... its the usual crazy platinum character action game but disguissed as cover TPS
And I'm guessing this is why KC hates it?
This alone will make me give it a shot
But You are right.. I did not liked this game. At least on 360. Never finished it but it controlled weird and all the time You are just "strafing" forward on knees and using slow motion. It's a good quirk and game looks good... but there was nothing appealing about the game back then. Action got stale quickly. It's too chaotic and uncontrollable and characters were just not interesting. I just remember that graphics were nice and transforming weapons looked super cool
Also btw... that's the whole moveset in this one gif. There is nothing more to this game
It was just not a time for those games.
Actually I am interested to try it nowadays on pc for whatever it's worth.

I'm not sure what to expect really, but I'll most definitely give it an isoshot if mouse controls will be good enough. In general, this looks more appealing to me than Bayonetta (which I had to skip since the 'Japanese factor' was too high for my tastes )
Unlocked framerates – push it as far as your rig will take you; PC gaming at its most liberating
Enhanced PC graphical options – anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, SSAO lighting, scalable texture and shadow quality, post-processing effects and more
Full EFIGS + Japanese support – voice overs, subtitles, and game menus in any language combination

You should still give it a try and push through the initially cringey japan-ness, Bayonetta is one of the most insanely epic over the top games ever made, and is the true new Devil May Cry game, after the series went full emo retard with ninja theory as developer.

Haha yeah, I actually finished that one (not without struggling), if there was a personal list of the "characters deserving of a horrible death", Yolo Dante would definitely be near the top . Didn't particularly like the combat system there either, but I have to admit that at least the actual level design, visuals and some of the bosses were more inspired than I expected which kept me going. Will add Bayonetta to the backlog then! (Nier is there also waiting)
Hell, western gaming has failed me so much lately that I may as well explore new worlds and seek redemption elsewhere.
