Quote:

The timer is set to run out on January 14.

There’s no clue as to the identity of whatever it is that’s about to be revealed, other than a note on the site that it’s “something wild”. The URL mentions “ProjectW”.

GPG, based in Washington, was founded in May 1998 by Chris Taylor, creator of Total Annihilation, and several other ex-Cavedog Entertainment employees.

Recent games include Space Siege, Demigod and Supreme Commander 2.

Is it possible for a new dungeon siege, or they dont have the rights?

Please bring back Dungeon Siege! Crying or Very sad One game with an expansion and a ton of mods has been awesome, but I want more now! Or at least bring it back in the form of a spiritual successor, if not as a direct successor!

Seems like its gonna be called Wildman :
Crush your enemies in this original role-playing and real-time strategy hybrid from Gas Powered Games. Wildman delivers a thrilling mix of action-role-playing and real-time strategy that only a developer like Gas Powered Games can deliver. In brief, this is what it's all about: Going to War: Build your army and fight against opposing champions armies for great rewards in hand-crafted War Zones.
from google preview of this site wildman.gaspowered.com/game-details which is not working yet
-> will probably have crowdfunding campaign

I would pledge if I had the money because it looks interesting and I just love these guys for creating Dungeon Siege in the first place. Everything else they made doesn't mean much to me, but it doesn't matter because DS holds a really special place in my heart. I'm not even sure if I'll like this Wildman in the end. I really want them to make a proper Dungeon Siege game again. I want to see them go back to the roots, to the first DS game and improve on that concept. I want a proper Dungeon Siege II with all its modding glory back.

afaik they dont have much money after Space Siege and SupCom 2 debacle. And AoE Online wasnt tha succesfull too. From what I read their other project(Kings and Castles) is on hold because of not enough money and time spent on AoEO

UGH.

Somehow I don't think he meant just the mod tools.

Well, Jeremy Soule is doing the music. That's *one* plus.

Looks much, but you easily get through that amount of money with some developers. Game looks promising though, I hope they make it.

Should be a single-player game with co-op modes, but at the same time influenced by the Moba genre..I just hope the SP is not Demigod-like. Razz

Looking pretty cool already for a prototype, kinda looking forward to this game, but let's wait and see how it develops.

Those former employees are also contributing to the discussion, with some, like Matt Kehm, reporting that they are returning to work at the company despite being laid off.

"I was one of those laid off that will be back to work tomorrow regardless. I want to see this succeed. Chris went over it in his video update Friday, but the reason why he did not keep us longer was the fact that if he would have kept us on for the month, and the campaign failed, there would not be enough money left to give people severance packages. By laying people off now, everyone received severance pay."

"Many of us are returning to work tomorrow to make this campaign a success. For me, this goes beyond a paycheck. It is a company I love. I will do everything in my power to see that it does not close its doors."
