That's the CD with the episodes only, I meant the DVD with bonus content.

i'd love to get the retail dvd aswell
there's no way i'm buying it twice just to get a few more extras than i already have from the season customer dvd

but this discussion belongs into the S1 thread
*ahem*
yea, S2 looks promising
it looks like they're throwing some more detail into it this time
i hope we finally get rid of those damn soda poppers
i got so tired of those characters toward the end

I bought it (The entire season two actually, good price.) a while ago, great humor and interesting puzzles albeit not that difficult and as usual there's not that many different locations and characters.
(Albeit those that exist are quite well done.)

New in season two is a interactive option menu where you can also enable or disable a hint system (different levels as well.) and a short tutorial. Smile

Maimatron 9000.

Judge Dredd reference.

Santa.

(You might notice the name on the gun, there's a few other hidden details like that, such as the names of the obscure magazines in that room.)

Timmy two-teeth.

"Stinky".

Witty comment.

Random dialog.

on principle i avoid all episodic games like the fucking plague. i dont care how cool the game is, dev's that use the episodic format are lowlife scumbags (yes im aware how hypocritical this is from a scumbag thief who steals games, but those fuckers aint much better Very Happy)

Usually I would say you are right. But Telltale are the only company so far that managed to do it right. The episodes are always released on time, and are cheap. Nothing to complain about here. Smile

Telltate did an hell of a job. Always great episode all one month after another and each episode has a duration that be compared to any fps of the moment (5 hours). The whole Season cost only 35€ and we are talking about 25 hours of gameplay.

I waiting for Sinking Island now but there is no release all over the world yet but the game was released a lot of days ago.

25 hours might be a bit high, but it's at least 12 to 15 hours for the full season for 35$ (which is less in € btw )
That's more than most games offer for 40 or 50€.
And it's really fun all the time, it's not like there is any artificial stretching or so in these games.
15 hours of pure fun for 25€? Sign me up any time Smile

It just sucks that you need to activate them. These episodes are modern classics which you might like to revisit in a few years like Sam and Max: Hit the Road. Imagine Hit the Road wouldn't be playable anymore because Lucas Arts dropped support for its old adventure games and you can't activate it.

The new ones allow you to activate via several methods, including just using a serial number. Smile

Th disc compilation released for season one also only used a disc check with SecuROM so I guess something similar will be used for the retail edition of season two when it's released. Smile
