Ok so i've decided to pick up a PS3 since the 40gb version is only €400 here in Ireland with FNR3. Also i want to play some Pro Evo online with friends this year. I've been looking through the games available and having a 360 there's many i already have. I think i've boiled it down to one of these PS3 exclusives.
Ninja Gaiden: Sigma - I never played the Xbox remake and i do like abit of hack and slash.
Resistence: Not a big fan of Console FPS (hated Halo 3). I think its the marketing that has me considering this.
Folklore: Probably what triggered my reason for buying a PS3. But the mixed reviews have me worried its Enchanted Arms all over again.
Given i probably won't be buying many games for the PS3 apart from online or decent exclusives (MGS4, FFXIII). What do you guys think would give me the most gametime?
BTW: Anyother suggestions are welcome, apart from multi-plat since i have pretty much all of them.

Folklore seems to be pretty good, but not awesome.
As far as I can tell it's not as average as enchanted arms was.
Ninja Gaiden: Sigma is probably the best game of those 3, but it's not just some hack and slash game... Ninja Gaiden is extremely hard and you probably won't even get too far if you're not very skilled in these kind of games.
I tried to play Ninja Gaiden on the xbox and got my ass kicked big time.
I did try it again a year later and got a bit further but it's still so damn hard...I'm just not good enough.
So it appears that Folklore is the way to go here if you're not a hardcore action gamer enough for ninja gaiden.

welcome to the ps3 club...I tried Folklore and frankly the game gets boring pretty fast. The action is repetitive and the locations are repettive. You have 2 playable characters but theres no difference between the two. The story is threadbare...I would suggest you download the demo and play it a few times, its equivalent of playing the full game.
If you havent played Ninja Gaiden, you should give Sigma a try...its a hard ass pretty fighting game.
I would also recommend Heavenly Sword. Its one kickass game, the fighting is fun, not as tough as Sigma, the plot is almost movielike. Everything about the game is excellent except for the short playtime. It can be finished in 4-6 hours. But I still recommend you try out the game.
The game you must really get is Uncharted. Its an action adventure title and the whole Sony world is excited abt this one.
Other interesting exclusives are Ratchet and Clank(same guys that made Resistance), Time Crisis 4 and Outsider.

PS3 ranks worst of the big 3 consoles. Offers nothing new and innovative. Sony took the plunge. 360 and Wii is where its at.

yeah we al now ps3 is cool and xbox360 to,and its al the same only ps3 is better in my eyes bewous it got more functions than 360 and yes i have both

Not to argue wth you but the thread states 'Which game should i buy' not 'Why shouldn't i buy a PS3'. So you can jog on with him.

Only thing I've been playing on my PS3 is PS2 games. 
Never experienced Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, or Final Fantasy 12... so I recommend those.

I'd recommend Motorstorm, great racing game ... I don't like Project Gotham or Gran Turismo, too Sim like, but Motorstorm is great fun when you got friends to play with and is great online too.
I was thinking of getting Folklore next, I played the demo and liked it but seeing the negative comments here has put me off a little, the reviews it's getting has been a mixed bunch .... maybe I'll just wait for PES 2008

On if we want to go on a console flaming war, the only good thing about my 360 is when I have a party at my home the 3 red flashing lights make a good strobelight, quite trippy when on X

I really recommend "Ninja Gaiden". This game is awesome and not as hard as people claim. I finished it in 1 week. Also if the game is too hard in normal mode, you can die a couple of times and then have an easier mode.
The Darkness wasn't bad either and heavely sword is very good, but way too short and never worth 60€. It's a game you should rent for a weekend or something.

Haze. About all I can recommend in the not-so-distant future that isnt on other platforms.
But out of that list, I say give resistance a try. Trust me, it is no halo clone. It is gritty and more down-to-earth sci-fi with a story worth mentioning. I hate console fps too but actually drew me in.
Can't think of anything really worthwhile besides those two.
