There are some new drivers for the game out here --> http://cwdohnal.home.mindspring.com/utglr/

For Deus Ex (works with Deus Ex version 1112fm):
OpenGL renderer version 1.8 for Deus Ex: dxglr18.zip (111 KB).
OpenGL renderer version 1.6 for Deus Ex: dxglr16.zip (48 KB).
Direct3D8 renderer version 1.1 for Deus Ex: dxd3d8r11.zip (41 KB).

There are many updates to the D3D8\OpenGL renderer Very Happy

Dunno what to do, I really miss this game.

Humm Confused I never got this problem.
I have a GeForce 8800 GTS 320Mb PCIe + Nvidia Forceware Driver v162.18 WHQ
On a Pentium D 3.00GHz. 2 Gb Ram.

What Driver do you have ?
And have you install the updates for Deus Ex + The new OpenGL driver or the new Direct3D8 driver ?

PS: This is my setup from DeusEx.ini

[OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice]

I found this one in a forum:

"...I loved Deus Ex on the Mac but when I got an Intel Mac it wouldn't work anymore. Got Deus EX GOTY so I could play it in XP on the Intel Mac using Boot Camp. Well, Deus Ex ran way too fast. My first solution was to right-click the Deus Ex application, click Compatibility, and turn on Windows 98 / Me Compatibility Mode. This made the Deus Ex run at normal speed but it wasn't pefect because in compatibility mode, Deus Ex's display resolution menu was full of bizarre choices and none of them were 1440x900. Editing DeusEx.ini to get 1440x900 caused the bottom and right part of the image to be cut off. I eventually discovered that compatibility mode apparently runs in a sort of window that's no bigger than 1280x768, and although the ATI driver could be set to stretch this window to full screen or not, you either get a fuzzy picture or a sharp picture surrounded by black bars. Do not want.

I finally found the RIGHT answer: disable one of the Intel Core Duo processor cores. Deus Ex then runs correctly without compatibility mode and the resolution menu is proper all the way up to 1440x900. I found the instructions for single-core startup in a post by killeen at the onmac.net forum:

"You need to right click on "My Computer" -> Properties -> Advanced -> Startup & Recovery;

There, you will find a button named "edit" - by pressing it you can edit the Windows Boot.ini file manually.

at the end of the line add the following code:

/numproc=1

save the Boot.ini file and reboot

Your Windows XP Install will now only use one Processor Core.

The games which I had problems with before are now fully functional."

That's the answer. Deus Ex can't deal with the Core Duo so make it like a Core Solo..."

There is a problem on the Core Duo...

There is a Tool you can use.

"Get and Set CPU Affinity
Created for Windows XP with Dual Core CPU.

Get and Set CPU affinity for running programs.
Automatically set CPU affinity of favorite programs on the fly.
Displays CPU usage for dual core in system tray.
Note: All text in the program is in English."

http://www.geocities.com/edgemeal_software/SetAffinity/index.htm

This is the last one. If this not help, then i am lost Sad
