I don't have a shiny silver sticker on my replaced console. It's a big square paper one, that I'm willing to bet is heat activated. It looks similar to the ones they put on cellphones that are tripped by moisture so people can't get a replacement cell if they drop it in water. Anyone else see these?
i can has computar?!

Just take the clasps off and quickly rip the case apart, should be intact, but dunno about the moisture thingy

Use hairdryer and a tweezers to pull it back enuff to open it. Its actually easier than the old silver ones.

Not really new , been about for nearly 2 years
no need for heat either , just a sharp craft knife / stanley blade and loosen one side

They dont care if its flashed or not. They usually just look for the sticker. If the console has RROD, you can't test it to see if it reads burned discs. And I doubt they would go through some complicated process to read the FW version of the drive.

Be careful with the hairdryer, it can melt your wifi button. It happened to me once last year
And I agree the green sticker is A LOT easier to remove than the silver one. Once I actually didn't care about voiding the warranty and i just pealed it off with my fingers and it came off perfectly with no residue or anything left behind.

Those stickers have been around for years, they come off easy. Sometimes they are not even stuck down well and just peal off. I give them a little heat with a hair drier then get it started with a razor blade. Store it on some wax paper
