Anyone having issues with snipers release? The game loads up just fine but when I goto load a level I get "player failed to load content" ... I cant play the game at all because it wont load the maps..

Looks like you are on you're own with this one mate. I would try a reburn at 1x if you have to!

Problem ended up being my XSATA... I reburned the game with no success (same problem). As soon as I disconnected my XSATA the game loaded PERFECT! Weirdest thing I have ever seen. I have never had a problem like that and in between trying to load halo I loaded several other games just fine...

shishka version works great right up till the 4th or fith chapter in the elevator, not far from the start of the game. then crashes saying disk not readble maby dirty try cleaning the restart, iv tryed burning it 3 times 2 diff types of media and same problem at the very same bit, anyone els?

Yeah mee to, cant even finsih the first level without dirty disc. have 3 xboxes with 2 of them with hitachi drives wich works perfectly with halo 3. then my sammy drive is the one who fucks up. got 5.2 fimrware on it. always use verbatim and is the first time i got a problem with an game. im so fucking mad, but the multiplayer works on the sammy! so i dont wtf is going on. burnt the game 3 times still the SP doesnt work, maybe if i upgrade the firmware?

First it may be the version of firmware you are using. Yea I know it may work with other games, but who knows if Bungie threw something in there to alert M$ of a possible backup, like midway through the game. Some firmware plays originals full speed and backups at a different speed.
I would upgrade to the latest ixtreme version so that way you can play stealth games.
Face it all the backups you have made do you really play them, and if you play some of them, then backup them up legitly and incorporate them with the needed protections of stealth, etc.
Most of us don't play every game especially those who dl games so why is it you have to have a huge collection of these just sitting there which is basically the reason you are not upgrading to the latest firmware because you want to play the old dl games that do not have stealth built in.
I bet if you have the latest firmware, i.e. ixtreme then you will not have a problem especially if you burn your backup or snipa killa's on Verb DL dvds and burn at 1x or 2x speed.
I also would stay off live until we are sure what is going on with Halo and especially now since they released an update today.
I personally used a offiline xbox 360 profile that is not assc. with xbox live then I changed my date on my console to after the date of the release as well as disconnect from live by taking the internet cat5 cable out. I will wait for awhile before I go on live again.
One thing for sure if M$ is up to something they sure are not going to say hey, we are incorporating a new check to detect modified firmware on the dvd drives. They are going to collect information and then ban accordingly.
This new update today, well you can take your chances, but I am not.

I'm getting this "player failed to load content" myself. Burned without error CloneCd Verbat 2.4x and i don't have Xsata. I god damn knew something was going to ruin my saturday. Was using shishka version, d/l'ing CCCLX now. Hope it works.
Anyone have anyother suggestions?

i had the soft cloth error after the first stage i burned on a memorex. so i reburned at 2.4x on verbatim and it works fine now. i got the ccclx release.
i didnt get a chance to get much further but i heard other people say they froze around the 4th stage so i dono?

I just got the unreadble disc error, it rebooted loaded the game but now it's forcing me to start right back at the beginning.
I'm not too keen on the idea of starting again. Can I skip levels to get back to where I was?
