I think that my network controller broke down, so I am basicly just looking for a bit confirmation.
Windows says that I still got a normal 100mBit lan connection, but I cant find anything on my network and I cant connect to the internet either through my router. Swaping cables and changing paths to my router or other comps dont solve a thing. Besides that, I cant remove the controller from my hardware list, there is no way to update the drivers for it in anyway and reïnstalling the software for it aint working either.
So would you say the the controller is broken on the hardware part or would it just be some software problem?
*i have no other problems on that PC then the one stated above, atleast not by my knowledge.....

could also be a firewall setting that keeps you in. Do you have router and modem seperate? If so connect the pc directly to the modem, switch your firewall off and try again. Another thing, i presume your network controller is onboard? Check your bios setup -> onboard peripherals, sometimes you can do loopback tests to check that the lan connections are working.

Meh there are 2 things you can try. Disable network controller in bios boot windows then restart and enable it again. Or you can do clean install of Windows. It helped me twice. Same thing happend and only clean install helped. Dual boot new installation with old one and see if that helpes.

It works again! Thank you very very mutch. I disabled my network controller in the bios and rebooted to windows to find out that it was gone as suspected. Then rebooted back to the bios to enable it again to find out that when I was back in my windows that my internet/lan had full functionality again.
