Wondering which ones are around and worth playing. My favorite I used to love and still love to play every now and then is legal crime (shareware game that was abandoned). I played the xbox version of Mafia (getting the PC version as I type this) and Chicago 1930 so wondering if there is any other ones worth playing. And no don't say The Godfather. Thanks Smile

If you've never played it before, you might give Kingpin: Life of Crime a shot. It was rushed and pretty short, but I remember it was totally different for the time-back in '99 when all shooters were pretty cut'n'paste. If you can stand the outdated gfx-used the q2 engine i believe-then might be just up yer alley for a quick mobster-fix, heh.

Syndicate Wars FTW !!!
That is an game that's still good even today, and so much fun.
Other than that i can only say Mafia is the best game in this genre out this day with good graphics.

This Chicago 1930 isn't too bad a game. It's like desperado's but mafia style. Immersion released it, update with the 1.1 german patch and crack and it runs on xp dual core just fine.

You shit-promoting LIAR !!!

IGN review closing comments :
Quote:
I can't in any frame of mind recommend this title. It has shoddy controls, uninteresting level design, and combat so flawed that it's painful to be part of it. While the premise of fighting as a gangster or a cop over the streets of Chicago is a good one, this just isn't the way to do it. Chicago 1930 isn't a complete waste thanks to some decent visuals and occasional moments of interest, but overall, it's a pretty poor that offers little entertainment value.

There was a really cool old gangster game where you could do rob a bank, kidnap children at the park (sometimes you had to defeat a group of grannies armed with machine guns),blackmail the mayor or the police chief.
It´s a very simple DOS game but really nice.
