As i didn't find any proper place to put this so i put it here, it's not a technical wrong with some game or something, just with the drivers or my gfx card. I start with my system which is a 3800+ X2, 1,5gig ram, GeForce 7600 GS 512mb, Windows XP 32bit.
My problem is that when i try to install new drivers for my graphic card, it just simply restarts my computer when the installer has made it to about..60% or something. I do as I always have does when i install new drivers, remove the old ones from the control panel/ Add/remove programs. I have tried with this driver "hxxp://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/winxp_163.71_uk.html" I'm trying with the international driver as I live in Sweden. When the computer starts again after the error rebot(it doesn't give me any error messanges) it only gives me a error message after windows starts again that says something like:" the computer have been restarted because of a serious error" or something but it seems that the driver is installed because i can play all the latest game etc. and when i check the dxdiag thing it says that 163.71 is installed and everything but i cant enter the nvidia control panel or something lik that. The only driver that seems to work at the moment is 162.30 which is an update when i run "windows update"(the 162.30 installs properly)
I have never had any other problems with drivers, just one time when i installed 163.69 Beta, it happend the same thing as now, but when i tried again it worked as it should.
P.S. Sorry for my bad:) english.

First of all i would suggest doing this:

1.
Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.

2.
Click the Advanced tab.

3.
Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings to open the Startup and Recovery dialog box.

4.
Clear the Automatically restart check box, and click OK the necessary number of times.

5.
Restart your computer for the settings to take effect.

At least this may give you more of a clue as to whats wrong

When i do that windows gives me bluescreen with some information, nothing important. The tecnical information it gives me is:
***STOP:0*0000008E (0*00000005) (and two more digit combinations)
*** nv4_disp.dll - Adress BF9D619C base at BF9D5000 Datestamp 46ce3c9a
And it says that windows have been shutdown so it wont harm windows or something.
Any suggestions?

STOP:0*0000008E
this means that your ram is faulty...
and other one is because of first one....

so try... removing your ram if you have 2 chips... try with just one...
