Then what road racing game, besides LFS, has good physics?

There is NetKar Pro and RBR, but the latter is not even a road sim. I agree that rFactor or GTR is far from perfect, but they are nowhere near "terrible" either. You should reserve words like that for console games or titles that start with NFS.

ure kidding, i hope.
the only game with bad physics in there is Race (btw).
after Race, but much better than it, is LFS (im registered user, i know what im talking about): too forgiving in some tight situations.
the other ones are (who better who worse) good physics games. infact they all have mods and several fans beneath. weird uh?

nfs are not physics at all, actually.
theyre just meant to be customisable and "cool".
the only thing in common with serious games are the wheels, seriously.

I don't like RACE. Instead building on the WTCC idea (which is great) and getting more cars for the 87 season in, SimBin puts more an more useless cars like the Radical in that aren't any fun.

Besides, Race is infected with Steam (so no online play with this version here) and the sound is way inferior to GTR2. I'll stay with GTR2 which is one of the best race game ever imho.

You don't half talk some utter nonsense. Try substantiating 'physics sucks' and lets see how far you get Wink

PostPosted: Fri, 28th Sep 2007 13:43    Post subject: terrible performance??
hello guys,

one question left: is it just me, or has the game some of the poorest performance?
my pc has core2duo, 4 gig Ram, and x1950xt!

if i look at the grafx and compare it to games like dirt or test drive unlimited (that run great on my pc!), then i must say "HELLO!?... Race07 looks like shit in comparsion to dirt and tdu, but runs even crappier then the two mentioned games!"

edit: what i forgot to write is, that if i drive alone i have good performance, but if i see two or more other cars the fps goes down like shit!

No such probs here, but the controls are very unresponsive at certain places on the tracks... weird... Rolling Eyes

I am trying hard to enjoy the games... but getting tedious with the control issues. Evil or Very Mad

p.s. DiRT is still the GoD of driving games for graphics and downright fun Twisted Evil

thinkin about buying it.
but it uses steam for multiplayer, dont like all that crap on my comp.

Doesnt run bad either on my comp,
all on high, exept shadows off, 1024 x 768, Full AA, AAF.

and trigga how'd u mean very unresponsive at some places?
as i dint had any problems with the controls?

There is no sensation of speed, when I'm flat out on a straight way.. I don't get the feeling i'm 'pedal to the medal' and turning corners feel like driving through Treacle in slo-mo..

Some tracks (monza etc), the car blunt refuses to turn left at some chicanes (I have several controllers (G25, logi cordless rumblepad 2, momo, wireless 360, thrustmaster RGT, etc) and it only seems to work as intended with the keyboards)

Rolling Eyes
