What do you guys think. Personally i think they really took the life and emotion out of the original.

Heh a little late but I just noticed this. I'm a HUGE APC fan. They're probably my favorite band. I really like the cover. I know with cover songs a lot of people won't like them cause they like the original so much.

Yeah I can't wait for that dvd. Seems to have good stuff. Album 11/2 and dvd two weeks later at 11/16. Some info on the dvd:

“aMOTION.” The double-disc set is the ultimate APC fan-piece, with the CD featuring nine remixes of such APC favorites as “3 Libras,” “The Outsider,” and “Weak And Powerless,” retooled by such artists as Massive Attack, Danny Lohner, and A Perfect Circle’s own James Iha. The “aMOTION” DVD content gathers together unexpurgated versions of APC’s amazing video output, including “Judith” (directed by David “Fight Club” Fincher), “Thinking Of You,” and the sardonically funny “Counting Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm Of the War Drums” clip. Also featured is a stunning live take on “The Noose,” along with a brand-new video for “Blue,” directed by Jose Perez, who won the opportunity to helm the clip via an online contest held on www.aperfectcircle.com. As if that weren’t enough, the “aMOTION” DVD includes the three “Blue” runner-up videos, exclusive commentary, a photo gallery, and a trio of trailers for the cult film series, Bikini Bandits.

CD hit the net. Listened to it. It's very different from normal APC stuff. Still really good though.

It's still good but not as good as their first two. It's funny. I find the best song on the cd to be Passive and it's the only song that's not a cover song (not including Counting the bodies.... which is basically a remix of Pet). Like my friend said they really changed the songs and made them darker. But that's how APC is like. Plus I like the darker themes better Very Happy

As for the best APC cd I don't know. It's a close match with the first two. If I had to choose one I would probably say Thirteenth Step even though Mer de Noms has my favorite song on it (3 Libras). It just feels better overall. Mer de Noms is basically just as good.

I heard the next Tool cd should come out sometime early-mid 2005. They've been working on it even when APC has been on tour.
