Hi

I'm thinkin` about buying laptop and some advice about it.

I can spend sth about 300/350£ on it and this is what I found that meets my
requirements.

Toshiba Satellite DVD+-RW 15.4" 1GB

HP 6715S Laptop AMD Sempron 3600+, 1GB

Probably gonna go for the HP cuz the CPU is much better along with graphic card ...

But maybe if anyone know some other good deal 4 a laptop which does have sth like 1gb ram, dvdrw, decent cpu don't hesitate and post it here Smile

Thx in advance[/url]

I'm not a big fan of Intel but one thing I know is that a sempron is a big no no... Try something like turion, it doesn't have to be dual core(unless you can spent some more money), but I think finding a good laptop for cheap price shouldn't be a problem. And you can always upgrade your memory(that is what I've done) it's not that expensive. Try acer, and something other from tohsiba.

And, yeah, you should have put this topic to Hardware section but never mind... Wink

I got a Dell Inspirion 6400 with a C2D T5500, 1GB, x1400, 120GB HD for a pretty low price. Try looking at the Dells as well.

things wrong with the HP are the outdated Sempron processor (to be avoided), also radeon xpres integrated graphics are often worse than the integrated intel ones..

apart from that it looks fine, it really isn't a bad laptop and the Sempron will do ok just I reckon you can find a better processor..

I'd be hunting around for a core duo. You might be able to pick up the original non-core2 ones for an ok price (T2160 for example)..

never buy Acer. ask anyone who works at a support service - dozens of Acer notebooks are being returned for repair/replacement daily

High wrong persentage. At least dont go for the 6xxx series. Bad screens. Iv changed 30 of 150 screens at work. And Dell is overpriced. Was looking alot around before I bought the Acer. If you don't buy a PC for other than average gaming, pretty fast PC you should go for Acer or Fujitsu. Fujitsu have won lots of test for quality and price. Don't let the brand fool you. They can really make laptops.

It was like that a year ago. The new ones are great. Just sad the support sucks (iv heard). Never had a problem with mine.

seems like a decent laptop, nothing too much, but still good for multimedia and office use...
