Tried this all day yesterday. I just picked up a X205-SLI1 (awesome performing laptop btw for half the price of alienware or dells) and trying to get ultimate running on it. Had no problem Whatsoever with getting vista ultimate up and running on the Desktop with the boot loader. But with the notebook, tried all tricks in the book to no avail.
Anyways anyone get similar results on a similar laptop? And yes, I've tried every method available with Bill Gates rls, ect. I am thinking it might have something to do with this EISA partition that toshiba has for recovery purposes. Or else something with permissions(though running everything with administrator), because it says "access denied" on the loader app. OR could be my bios...could there be any issues with phoenix bios?
Anyways thinking of giving up the ghost and just using the COA to install legit home premium-kinda irks me tho, for buying a top-of-the-line laptop, no ultimate edition(?!?). Anyone know if that COA works for the x64 version of home premium as well though? Or is it just good for x86 version?
Any help/tips would be appreciated.
