I just turned Fourty!!!

So apart from a slipped disc, a nasty pile, a stone over weight, I feel great.

Got a degree and post grad...

My first game system was a Spectrum at the age of 14. I own every system under the sun (still have the Dreamcast), apart from PS3... and have travelled all over the world (god I love San Diego, not so keen on China).

Got my first broadband line in 1994-5 on a closed BT test trial account... did a bit of warez currying (thank god for Iomega backups) beta test network quake 3 arena, and Marathon 2 on Macintosh. Learned Photoshop 1 and 3DSmax 4 for Dos, joined a games company and havn't looked back since.

Owned and sold one house and owned four cars.

Been on the Nforce board, for a long time, and don't post as often as I should.

So too all you kids out there... keep posting and keep the scene alive. Long live Razor, Fairlight, Hoodlam, Reloaded... god bless you all and keep seeding!

I came up with a new game show idea recently. It's called "The Old Game."

You got three old guys with loaded guns on stage - they look back at their lives, see who they were, what they accomplished, how close they came to realizing their dreams.

The winner... is the one who doesn't blow his brains out. He gets a refrigerator.

Thing is, I guess I am like you, got stuck with gaming and stuff when the ATARI came out, went on with the C64 and the Amiga etc etc. I guess I will stop when arthritis kicks in at 70-80 or so...God forbid

Congrats on getting your shit together before the age of 40.

Lots of people out there never get quite there. Good luck in your futures.

I'm lucky, I worked hard got two degrees, worked my way up to a pretty privaliged position in the games industry, earn £40K a year+ big bonuses, have a number of very succesfull title under my belt, have a son, a wife who can laugh at my jokes...

and I'm still a big kid, don't have too wear a tie, love System of a Down, Pantera, Battlestar Gallactica, and Family Guy.

I guess what I'm saying to all the kids out their, is be true to yourself, belive in your self... don't let anybody tell you what to do! Work hard at your passion, and stay young!

That's why I love Nforce, it stands for all the above. Keep up the fight,
