steam is getting better. the most annoying error was invalid steam userId ticket. but now its fixed that and is a lot better than normal cs1.5 u have more controls and its easier to control. it loads plugins better and allows better d/lin etc. its jsut a better platfrom now and will be even better im sure in a few months.

better better better better better better better better better there a new 1.... would u like me to use improved controls etc?  . also steam is good coz u can easily add and update 3rd party games too which i think is preety keen. also its great for usin mods like superman and war3. AMX really benifits from the console too. the only big prob is gettin onto the friends network u need to try abt 20 times and some past messages pop up and stuff its pretty annoying.

I would like it a lot more if it wasn't so forcefully crammed down my throat.
Other than that, it's not that bad. It had a very rocky start, but they are getting it under control lately.

Steam works ok for me. Got some problems when it first was released and it had it's slowdowns but now it runs like a knife through a piece of butter.

Steam is a great way to deliver new content to the player at a moments notice and gets rid of waiting in line to download patches at websites like Fileplanet.
Unfortunately it replaced the long lines with unexplained waiting and crashing of steam during peak playing hours and only people who bought CS:CZ get any relevant new content on a continuous basis. People who have been loyal to CS for years get nothing.

Steam Friends List is a piece of shit... Awesome idea, yet sooo badly implemented that it's not really even funny... Half the time it's crapping out and rest of the time "Friends List" server is down... Lately it's being doing better, but still crap....

If you got a retail cd-key I wouldn't think you are gonna pay a shit for it again. The thing is that people are confusing it with the monthly Steam cost that let's you play all the games for like 100 bucks a month. They could also be confusing it with CS+Source and may be CS2.

ok steam is so fucking annoying. in the latest update they removed my CZ. of course its a cracked version but its gone as well as a few other 3rd party games like goldeneye the specialist IOS and natural selection. im soooooo pissed off coz they're not going back either. plus they fucked up the crosshair again! why dont they just put an option like on CZ so u can scale it urself, its so bullshit.

Actually in the latest patch they did put an option in to scale the crosshair yourself and also choose its color. Believe it or not you will find it in "options" *rolls eyes*. It seems you have to set it each time you play though.
You'll also notice once a bomb is planted the round time will disappear... for the rest of the map and if I'm not mistaken until you rejoin the server. I like how they miss such an obvious bug before they release the patch. They need to quite fixing what is working fine and give us some new fuckin stuff already.
