I think I'll buy a new 360 with HDMI in it.. So I'm getting a new firmware as well, and I might get one of those stealth ones.. I hear they only read games that are stealth patched though, so I was wondering how often the new games you "get" are already stealth patched? If not very often, how do you stealth patch? Is it complicated?

that's good news. So you would definitely recommend getting the stealth firmware then, right? I mean, there's no real down side to it, right?

I would recommend it.. There is an upside to it, You can still use LIVE for the time being...

I use now for like 2years? non stealthed games and still did not get banned.
There is some big myth about "stealth" mostly created by paranoid people from usa as usual.

im with TheGame for once, unbanned here on 2 consoles, neither using iXtreme.

Maybe you were running only stealth patched games without knowing it? They can't just ban people hoping they don't catch someone who doesn't have modified firmware

Same here, but for stealth games to be effective you dont need Ixtreme.

Damn, what to do now... I know my old Xbox didn't get banned either and I had non stealth for a year or so (remember I got it back when just cause was released)

i have plenty of un stealthed games that i play regularly, thats part of the reason im not using ixtreme, i dont wanna waste more money on disks

No, you don't. The only thing iXtreme really does is prevent you from using anything else BUT stealth games. You can play stealth games on most any firmware, and stealth games have been around awhile, thus why some people didn't get banned.

Aaah, that's some good info right there. Ima definitely just get some regular shit then, since most new games uses stealth anyway. So what would yall recommened: getting the newest firmware, or sticking with the one I've been using for the last year?

Are you suggesting the ixtreme firmwares do nothing more than the old fw's, except for stopping people play non-stealthed games?
I think you're wrong...
Playing a stealthed game on a NON-ixtreme fw will result in a potential ban, I believe.

actually i take that back, people all over are telling me the ixtreme is just the same fw, which stops you playing unstealth.
apparently 5.2fw + stealthed disk = safe online.

I guess I was just one of the unlucky ones that had 5.2 FW, and only used Stealth patched games, and was still banned!! I test all my ISO's before I burn, so I know they are all stealth patched... All of them worked after switching boxes at gamestop, and using Ixtreme, now runing iXtremem 1.3!! All is working great!! Hopefully no bans will be handed down after the December 4th Dashboard update!!
