Hey guys,

Just recently got myself a PSP.

Was originally 2.81, downgraded to 1.50 using LCS then upgraded to 340OE with the easyupgrader, so now its playing the stuff I want, but ive been checking out the net on how to get my psx games working (yup its FF7 im after) and it all seems outdated or contradictory.

Can somebody help me out and point me in the right direction for my current situation?

If you want to convert PS1 ISO games, use this prog to do that

But i have to warn you that some games might not work or crash someplace during the game. I tried every way possible i could do with Resident Evil 2 but as soon as i enter the police station, the screen goes black and stay black but i still have the sound.

If youre using Usenet/newsgroup, look for CotR releases, they converted like 25 games but i dont think they did FF7

Also, bad or outdated firmware might screw up things for you so i highly recommend to install those M33 firmware

RE2 does work. You need to change a certain number after converting it. I don't know the name of the program right now, but it shouldn't be too hard to find using google.

thanks for the help guys,

I couldnt find the FF7 release on the ngs but I got resident evil dir cut. Its in an EBOOT with a keys file. How do I boot these? Do I use devhook?

it goes to *:\PSP\GAME

You need to send the folder that has letters/numbers (SCUS94476, just an example) in there. Then go to GAME --> Memory Stick and load it (on your PSP Menu)

If it doesnt work its either you did something wrong with sending it to your Stick (wrong place, wrong directory name) or like i said earlier, your firmware suck

You'll probably find FF7 on a.b.cd.image.playstation
