this thing could turn out alright. it comes from grin and the producer seems to care about what they're making, in a non corporate sort of way. also he didn't throw bullshit at the reporter just to hype up his game.
on the other hand, i just watched the trailer for the movie and it only served to remind me of how annoying jolie is. fucking ugh.

just to revive this thread...release is on march 23rd
played the demo today (seems to be ps3+x360 exclusive atm), and it really looks quite good. gameplay is cover based like gow, but with a few nice little twists: you can stab someone if he's on the other side and the cover's just waist high, when you get to the edge of your cover, you can quickly move to another wall or other objects and even do it in bullet time and shoot enemies while you move).
shooting is standard fare and the whole curving bullets thing is only done occasionally (cause you always need to kill someone first to refill the ability) and nicely implemented - press a button to lock on to an enemy, refine the arc, shoot the fucker. finally a change to the usual duck hunt in cover-based games.

i tried demo, game feels clunky, aiming is very sub par, and i can tell its rendering at a low res on the console, no excuses for such a low jaggied res when you look at some of the better designed games coming onto console. Demo score 3/10

I liked cover system when it was first introduced (kill switch) and Gow but now it seems to be so overdone you're taking cover 98% of the time
crates, mini walls everywhere
this is just imo it gets annoying after levels and levels of it

Could be good but from what I've read on the console section of these forums you can finish it pretty quickly, there's even a achievement for beating the game in about one and a half hour or something like that and multiple people seems to have finished the game in roughly two hours.
