Well, basically, at random times when the game should be loading, my screen goes black and the whole system stops responding. Can't even alt-tab back to windows. It really only happens at loading screens.

And then there's another problem. All sorts of weird stripes and shapes grow out of the units, textures that shouldn't be there. I know this is most of the time an indication of a heat problem, but I'm pretty sure that is not the case here. Also the game runs fine for the rest.
I would really appreciate help since I think this game is very addicting.
