What do do when I get there?
Who has been and is it chepaer than Amsterdam cos I had to take out a 2nd fukin mortgage after that trip

how far is it from Bergamo?
Is this place quite cheap? I hear the meals are massive there too.

Bergamo ... woaaa about 60 km from my home 
Well Bergamo is a rather big (yet not very big like Milan) city where probably the most attractive things are the surroundings that are very green (nature) intensive, there are many nice places in the near hills and mountains, and the meals well being in my country are mediumly very caloric
Anyway what kind of places would you like to visit ? Museums ? Hi tech things ? Nice towns ? Disco ?
Did you rent a car or you are afoot ?
@ saint : wow so you have relatives in sicily ? then you are a little italian too ?

that is where I have booked.
TBH I have never been before so want to enjoy everything they have to offer. I deffo want to do the lakes and possibly a cable care if they have those. Alot of siteseeing is what I plan to do of everything possible in 5 days.
I'm really hoping where I have booked is close to all of this and not out in the middle of nowhere!

@ dhcp ... you have chosen a nice place, personally i have visited only once the "Brembo's valley" (Brembo is a river) when i went to the park "Le Cornelle" (www.lecornelle.it sorry i didn't find any part translated in english), a very nice zoo where there are white tigers, fantastic beasts (even if i am somewhat against zoos) ! You could spend one day in the direction of that park.
Anyway the next time you visit Italy i could advise you some really wonderful places if you like mountains.
@ deelix ... well i cannot say my country is a cheap place, but probably there are more expensive too (personally i went only once abroad since i fear the airplane so i cannot say for personal experience).
