Saw there was a S6 thread, so figured why the hell not.
The STV 'movie' is out, Redemption, but I have to say, they better do a lot more with S7 to redeem the show after S6 than this movie.

Show started sucking at season 4 and kept repeating like a broken record until season 6, which was extremely poor.
Hopefully Redemption and S7 will be a step back to the roots, or it's goodbye to 24 to me.

S5 was really good, IMO, much better than S2 - S4, and obviously S6. Maybe it's just me, I do love political conspiracies and scandals, but it was extremely well done, and Greg Itzin played the role of the impotent president turned into impotent villain so well. Just for the almost suicide scene, he should have won an Emmy.

just watched the season starter and it was ok. The portrayal of the u.n. peace corps is ridiculous and jack's emotions have seen more believable times but i always hated the underlying patriotic pathos anyways and ignored it in every season, so thats nothing new (just in a different setting, so it kinda sticked out more). Everything else looks like it will be a by-the-books 24 season, so i will most likely like it anyways. Yeah, my standards are that low, hahahaha

Sin, just the right time for a marathon! You can skip S6, nothing really interesting or important happened...

Torrents should come in handy for that. Not a popular word around here, but they are great for old stuff like that.

Oh yes, that's right, the first four episodes were actually good. You see, the season was so bad, I forgot about the good start...

Redemption is a tv movie, right? So its not just a prequel, right? I have no intention of following the entire season but if it doesn't leave with a cliffhanger I'll watch the movie.
8 out of 10 dentists prefer zipfero to competing brands(fraich3 and Mutantius)!

It is a bridge between S6 and S7, so it does leave a cliffhanger for the next season in January.

Last season was the best for me, first one the worst with those kidnapped bitches crying and whining all the time I can't stand that, dvd of 'Redemption' will be released tomorrow.

first one had decent twists
like get up from the couch and go NO WAY
2nd had the same feel
3rd went down cause american audience didn't follow the twist they got frustrated
4th they got a drunk mamet wannabe to write the screen play
5th they paid that drunk mamet wannabe and he got cocaine
6th season they got a new writer who thought jack bauer was chuck norris

Jack in COD5 and now Jack in Far Cry 2, or redemption, man what a poooor choice of president season seven is going to painful to watch with that bitch at the helm, worst president ever I would rather have Bush she's awful and ugly too. I guess putting a black guy there isn't hip for them anymore since that's what happened in real life so they when for a first women as president thing, well gee, I hope she gets shot in the head or blown up by a bomb.
Anyway it doesn't look good for season seven

ohhhh booo hooo she's not good looking
she's actually quite a good actor and i'm looking forward to see her in action during 24, the entire series is looking good to me and that's pretty much because I take it for what it is... I don't give a shit about how realistic it is or how silly it is. I really enjoyed the prequel too.

It's not the looks really that's just another flaw I found, she is kinda annoying me. A lot. I don't expect much from this season.

I only ended up watching a bit of it...I dont like 24 as it is. Not a Sutherland fan...Donald sutherland maybe, but Reefer (thats what I call him ) Sutherland is a shit actor imo. All one has to do is watch the lost boys to see what i mean...and thats the first thing I can remember seeing him in and havent liked him since.

I liked it, it's 24 but different. Hopefully they won't fall into the same "formulaic episodes" trap again. As for the president, we haven't seen much of her. No one will be better than Palmer though, too bad they had to kill him off. I still can't understand the writers' urge to clean the entire cast after every damn season.

Gregory Itzin (Charles Logan) was better in my opinion. Yes, Plamer was a very loved president and had authority in his voice that made terrorists tremble. But I think what made Itzin better was the way he portrayed Logan so insecure, so incompetent, yet so eager for power and pompous.

They do have the need to kill every great character in the show at first I thought they offed them because maybe they wanted out of the show but now I hear Tony is back (from the dead) as the villain so why did they actually terminate Michele, Tony, Palmer it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Tony coming back and on top of that becoming the villain would make zero sense. I didn't pay much attention the last two seasons though. I was just skipping from action scene to action scene basically.
