Australian Open 2015

The Scot boy has done good again Smile

Wish him well in this greatest of finals, against the mighty Djokovic, who he beat to win the Wimbledon final, not 2 years ago.

Go boy! Very Happy

The poor Roger lost his 4th final in Rome, it seems that he really can't be King in Italy Crying or Very sad

With the current SuperNole though, winning is almost a mission impossibile for anyone. Razz Nadal is completely out of form at the moment, I wonder if he'll manage to do the miracle again for the French Open, perhaps with the help of those famous Spanish doctors Cool Face

yep, he had so many strong phases in the game in which he hit everything so well (i.e. that backhand shot through the small space between netpost and ibm advertisement)

yep that shot, just awesome. but have in mind that normal tennis courts have the posts placed outside the double playfield. nevertheless its kinda hard to bring such a ball inside the field (playing tennis myself for 18 years)

Rarely I've seen so much quality in a tennis match, Murray-Federer today was quite astonishing. They both played perfectly (with really solid stats), but Fed activated the god mode just like the old times, and became unplayable. I'm impressed, hope he can maintain the same form against Djokovic in the final. Razz

I agree!

Fed was rolling back the years today, he played out of his skin, don't think anyone could have beat him in that form.

My money is still on Djokovic though for the final, although I would like to see Fed win his eighth, and if he plays like that, who knows? Smile

Djokovic showed once again that he's the best player in the world. Still I'm a bit sad for that RG trophy last month. He has some kind of mental blockadge when playing in Paris it seems. :\

I'm sorry for Federer, but there was nothing to do today, Djoko was just too insanely good. Razz He pulled off some shots and comebacks that reminded me of Virtua Tennis xD, absolutely unreal.

sister act begins in one hour! tune in lads, gonna be a hell of match. and venus is the only one who can stop serena from getting THE grand slam (for those who dont know: the grand slam means winning every grand slam tournament in a year. only increase of that is the golden slam which includes the olympic tournament too. our the one and only steffi "the nose" graf was the first one and only one today to achieve that in 1988. ok you have the career glandslam too or whatever its called, but thats "only" winning every major + olympic games. but not in one year. think serena did that a few years ago after she finally won the australian open)

edit: meh, match was set to start in 5min. but as tsonga - cilic goes the extra mile (4:2 cilic in the 4th set atm) and serena vs williams is set as night session they need to get every body out -> clean the stadium -> get the new ones in. takes atleast ~45 min. so would say it starts in about 70min earliest

So, just some fun fact.

Djokovic as a 1st has 8035 point more then Murray on 2nd place.
Muray as a 2nd has 8035 points more then Lucas Pouille on 70th place.

He was devastating, especially in the second and third sets, not even a well trained Terminator could have stopped that power, impressive.

im pretty sure he will achieve the grand slam this year (with this win he already got the career-grand-slam). heck he is also able to win the golden slam as 2nd person in history (golden slam = win all grand slams + olympic gold in one year), only our beloved nose aka steffi graf achieved that (think it was '88). though serena has a career-golden-slam (same as career-grand-slam but plus winning olympic gold)
