Been wondering why there's no thread for this, but for Wrestling So here's some real sport for real men (j/k)
What a better way to start the thread off with an epic fight. I thought Joshua was going to get the best of him, in Round 6 Klitschko hit him hard and he seemed very tired, by the time Round 11 arrived, Joshua just put it out and absolutely dominated Klitschko, really surprising, but a very very good fight.
Quote: | Anthony Joshua's brilliant win against Wladimir Klitschko will surely go down as one of the greatest heavyweight bouts ever seen on these shores. In an epic, Rocky-style slugfest, AJ floored the Ukrainian in the fifth round, before hitting the canvas himself in the sixth. Despite looking one good punch from defeat, the Londoner somehow rallied to finally end the fight with some fierce blows in the 11th round. As two men who both stand 6ft 6ins and weigh more than 17 stones threw everything at each other, one thing was evident: the immense, terrifying power of their punches. As this series of remarkable pictures from Wembley demonstrates, these were two proper heavyweights with some true heavyweight power… |

best klitschko fight in the last 10 years. BUT he is old. he could have beaten aj if he had done it right after he came back and knocked him down too, but he hasnt. gave aj the time to recover and the uppercut was brutal (not many boxers are able to suck that and the punches following right before the ref canceled the fight. and most boxers would be on their way to the hospital after that, vitali not. even in the interviews directly after it seemed it didnt hurt him much)
please vitali -> retire. it was a great fight. but it seems he is just not "hungry" anymore, otherwise he would have had punched the shit out of aj after the knockdown. it was a great career, very long and dominating (though as i said the last 10 years were boring, only jab jab jab jab jab, commercials, jab jab jab jab. that fight yesterday was entertaining cause it had action in it). most likely its hard for a former champ to retire after a defeat but if he steps into the ring again against aj and looses again its a big discretit as bottom line on a great career

Yeah, Klitschko in his prime would have won this match easily.
Great fight tho.

Best heavy weight fight in a long long time, Klitschko is old (41) and AJ (27) but I would love to see a rematch.

Good for him. Especially since he ended on a proper fight, probably one, if not the best, HW fight in recent times.

Knob end falls to another knob end, and Mayfucker retires. Thank fuck I never paid to watch it, but good luck to both in future.

Still can't understand how the fuck Tyson Fury got up in the 12th?
It was literally the ending to Rocky Balboa except what Fury did was even better.

Joshua fucked up thinking he can outslug the fat man. Despite his looks Ruiz Jr. is an animal. His only defeat is a split decision against Parker. If Joshua can't defeat him in a dominant fashion in the rematch he can say goodbye to his expected billion dollar career.

All set for my 8 x 2 mins show, lol, @ £19.95, starts @ 1am, but fight will prob be 4-5am sometime.
I don't agree with 50+ boxers trying to look like they were in their heyday, and I honestly hope none of them come to any harm, but it's a risk, a big one. Cant say who will win? Tyson will come out the gates like a bullet as per usual, and that will be Jones's best chance to land a lucky punch early on. After that, stamina will be non-existent for both, at their age. Will be nice to see though, looking forward to it.

Yup, Tyson was going mental that they cut the round time, but I think its fair, although his point of 'damage will be done whether 3 or 2 mins' also holds true.
