Had the same piece of shitecom router and it was trouble from day one. It would keep dropping the internet connection every hour. Thing was regular like clockwork. You won't notice under normal use but if you game online then you better keep those games short. Razz Had to download the latest firmware and do a hard reset to solve the problem. Port forwarding is another story and not a very happy one.

Maybe you are better at dealing with hardware than I, but this is not a very user-friendly item.

Id go with Linksys or Belkin.

my too Very Happy , but i don't wanna test my luck with router, coz i'm mostly dLding stuff overnight and can't check on a progress once in a while, so i'd rather have something that works 100%

^aye to that. Seems like I mostly get these strange DCs because I use wireless network. :\

Downloaded a terrabyte or two, so doesn't happen that often.

a lot of the problem with the wrt54 was the firmware which people don't realize they need to UPDATE it, my friends family is all on wireless and the router kept disconnecting everyone in the house even before we were friends, I get there, update the firmware for em about a year after being friends and it's never disconnected again.

Can't really just use a car brand (could be an old 79 mod), but I get your point. Most of those "respected" guys here got 2 screens. (all us at IT got 2x19" Dell screens).

Have sat out that some places where the people have been like: WTF, what do I need 2 screens for. And those are people working with big maps etc.

Some norwegian ISPs got 4-6 screens per worker. Guess they need it tho ^^
