I'm wondering.. is it worth it to get one of those *gaming* or *ultra* whatever memory sticks which have like 18mb/sec write/read speed for playing stuff off the memory stick?
Just asking because you can get a 4gb stick with default speeds (2mb/sec read/write or so I believe) for the same price as a 2gb stick with high transfer rates.
do load times get significantly shorter with high speed memory sticks?
i have the sony 4gb one... works perfectly fine and i dont notice any lag or any crap like that. i havent compared how long it takes to TRANSFER stuff to and from the stick, but as far as using it on the psp for playing music and games and movies from it, its perfectly fine.
You will notice speed differences with different sticks while transferring files to your PSP but in the all day usage of your PSP you wont see any difference. But never buy any of the cheap fake sticks because they are really slow compared to originals. Just go with the standard Sony to be on the save side.
My 2GB original Sony is writing about 4MB/s and my SanDisk 8GB M2 is about 2.5MB/s but thats relative because i dont have to delete/reupload things that often due to lack of space.
