Since the French version came out I have had a seemingly random chance of getting HALO 2 to work on XBOX's. I have transferred it to about 10 or so Xboxes with only a 50% chance of it working. All will play the intro to the first level but some will then come up with a 'dirty disc error'.
Some of these Xboxes are identical with the same chip and bios but as stated some work and some don't.

I have transferred the game using the following methods but have had NO success at all with the Xbox's that wont have it.
1 QWIX
2 FTP,d using Flash FXP
3 Transferred off disc via DVD 2 ONE or PX HddLoader

It just seems that some machines just don't want to play the game and yes I have set the system clock etc...

The majority of the machines that are failing seem to have Xecutor chips where as the Aladdin Advance chip seems to play fine with no disc error.

Another thing to mention is that the Xbox's that don't work will not play off Hard drive OR DVD !

do the ones that fail have the profile installed of the french release? I had problems getting the game to run until I deleted the old profile.

Hardware: Ryzen 3700x, B450 MSI Gaming Pro carbon AC, GTX1080, 32 GB 3200 Mhz cas 14, 256 EVO SSD, 1 TB EVO SSD and 4 TB HDD.
Console: xbox, wii and xbox 360

cheapmod here with x-ecuter bios 4981 - works fine from dvd and HD - EvoX dashboard,pal xbox - pal mode

Well, I've got a 1.0 xbox with an old xodus chip and I can't get either Halo (french or english) to boot off HDD. I keep getting dirty disc errors. That's with the newest evox and a fairly new bios (can't remember which).

However, I burned both of them and I can play the game fine. My buddy's xbox with similar mods plays off the hdd fine.

even though you used a pc to try to do some of the methods of transfering this still belongs in the console section
