The Orange Box features three highly-awaited new games by Valve: Half-Life® 2: Episode Two, the second installment in the Half-Life 2 episodic trilogy; Team Fortress® 2, the sequel to the game that put class-based, multiplayer team warfare on the map; and Portal, the game that blends puzzles, first person action, and adventure gaming to produce an experience like no other.

To bring gamers up to date with the Half-Life 2 universe, The Orange Box also includes Half-Life 2, the best-selling and highest-rated action game series of all time, and the episodic debut Half-Life® 2: Episode One.

What is the purpose of this release? All games have been already released separately. I would call for a dupe nuke if I had any power on that.

Well.. this is "retail iso"... even if i'll stick to my "homemade copy" that fits dvd5, I don't think this should be nuked...

This isn't "retail iso" , it's modified, as much a homemade release as yours. Not that I am against steamrips, but this release is hypocritical.

Nice! I wonder what exactly they mean by "Improved graphical effects". That could be anything from updating to the latest source engine or just fixing some texture bugs or improving particle effects. Still, gives me another reason to play through HL2 again.

And now there is a FOV slider in the menus as well. Btw. In what cases in HL2 should I be able to see the motion blur in action?

Yay! Just got the first Achievement in HL2 by throwing a beer can at the Combine soldier's face Very Happy

Harsh but true Laughing Seriously, the Orange Box is dirt cheap now and you get a stunning collection of games; HL2+Ep1+Ep2, Portal and Team Fortress 2.
