The original Rainbow Six: Vegas was released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, and the PC. From all indications, it looks like Ubisoft decided not to take a multi-platform approach to the sequel of the game. The company's official website only listed Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 on the Xbox 360 and PC.

Ubisoft hasn't given any word on the platform exclusivity of the game, but we can probably expect to hear more about this in the near future.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is slated for launch by March of next year. Details on this game have been rather vague but players can expect new gameplay features, better graphics, and even more maps. The official website even stated that the game will "break new ground in both co-op and adversarial modes.

Never got into this game or modern 'pseudo-tactical' gameplay type on the PC. I loved the original series on the PC but they seemed a whole different 'breed' of video game. Not to say there is anything wrong with it, actually just getting into graw2 and r6:vegas(got both for less than a normal 360 game-booya) myself. But I think the whole 'stop and pop' gameplay just is suited for the console. It both gets over the lack of a perfect aim for fps-style gaming and is more suited for the pickup and play console type game, as opposed to say spending 15 mins or so setting up waypoints before mission starts-which I am positive no console gamer has patience for(and again can't blame em with analogue sticks vs mouse).

Anyways would be perfect if they still made both type of games for the different platforms, would love a return to the complex tactics and 'one shot, youre dead' style of the oldschool games with the PC version. But as it is will prolly pick this up sometime down the road for the 360 and will skip the slapped-together PC port.

Anyways hopefully the whole 'breaking new ground in co-op' isn't just normal marketing BS and they actually do something creative. Either way tho, should be fun, if not very deep and tactical like I mentioned before.

I just look at R6V as an action game, and that's it. It isn't really Rainbow Six, but it's a good action game.

still don't get why people think Vegas sucked. Heard it was better on 360, but had a great time with it on PC (when I got decent FPS Razz )

PC Version the controls seemed shoehorned from the console, and the PC version wasn't smooth on my 8800gts 512, even though it looks kind of fuzzy, like an LCD at the wrong resolution........

Yeah i agree, while the game was great, the pc port sucked. I have both versions, and xbox version looks much cleaner, with better performance. But im still playing on the pc because of the mouse, its so freaking hard that i cant imagine myself beating it on the console.

Yes you have to get used to it, but i dont want to. Im used to playing fps with a mouse, so i'll use it whenever i can. I'll get vegas 2 for pc, it will probably be inferior to xboxs version, but it has a mouse. You can never be as fast and accurate on the controller as with kb and mouse IMO.
