Hey :p
I'm probably gonna have to switch my internet provider soon so I have to start switching my email adresses to new ones. So I'm wondering.. which good free email services are out there nowadays?
I know GMail which is supposedly pretty good, and I guess hotmail is not bad either.
Is there any other ones which really stand out? It definitely needs support for an email client like outlook, can't be bothered to use some kind of webmail stuff, but I guess that's standard these days anyway.

Because I've been using the email service of my ISP for years. If I switch provider, those email adresses will die.
Like my ISP right now is Inode. My email is surray@inode.at. They won't let me keep that if I'm not their customer anymore.
I shouldn't have used their email service in the first place, but I just didn't know about such things 6 years ago when I started using them.

Thats lame. Here i can have email from any ISP. It doesnt matter if i am their user. Well you should try Gmail and see if you like it. Yahoo maybe?

Gmail seems to be popular these days, I would use it but my hotmail address has been this for
what seems like an eternity.
If you are switching providers, and you require Pop access the best option that I can think of would be to create a Gmail or hotmail address, and have it forwarded to your new providers email address.
Read not to contradict and confute, nor to believe and take for granted, but to weigh and consider.

In all your remembering, remember that you have choices

i m also a big fan of gmail, but if you want to have a certain security i wouldnt choose a webmailer like google, because they are subject to u.s. law and havent got the greatest of privacy policies. Works great and has a superb spam-filtering system though (most likely because they automatically snoop around in your emails )
