|
 |
So, up until now ive burnt maybe 40 games without any problems - all with my 111D and Verbatim discs.
Now, a month or so ago, i burned WWE SvR 2008, and it worked. Until later on, when i popped the disc in again, and it started giving me Unplayable disc error. I restarted the box/ejected the disc a couple of times, then it worked again. Okay i thought, a half-assed burn, no biggie. Then Mass Effect came. Worked the first one or two times, then it gave me the error again. Its even harder to get working than SVR. Then i thought it was the pack of discs, as both games came from the same 5-disc pack. And i had also burnt two other games with the discs from the same pack, and they work perfectly.
That was what i thought up until yesterday. Got myself 5 more discs, and downloaded Amped 3 just for the hell of it, had nothing to do. Burned withg ImgBurn, 2.4x, same burner and on my new verbs, and it gives me the same fucking error.
Now, what could be wrong, my burner or my 360 drive?
Watercooled 5950X | AORUS Master X570 | Asus RTX 3090 TUF Gaming OC | 64Gb RAM | 1Tb 970 Evo Plus + 2Tb 660p | etc etc

hmmmm not sure but if i was in your boat id go with replacing my burner first (cheaper option)
plus mass effect was a bitch for the unplayable errors, i got quite a few and ive never had them with any other game.

The 360 drive, no doubt.
People have had this exact same issue, and had to replace the laser in the 360 drive.
I only burn with Mirrors now, seems like Verbs are damn overrated if you learn to burn at a slow speed.

I simply buy cheapo "Intenso DVD+R 8.5". They are like 12 Euros for 12 DVD's
Never failed me yet. Used Verbatim in the past, had no money when I was looking for some at a lunch break and grabbed the Intenso's....just on a whim...they did the job, so..
