In short - world (that is : USA ) after a disease which killed all the adults (or did it?). Low budget, some lame actors, half of the first season sometimes is slow but also some great actors - i was amazed that Luke Perry could be that good and charismatic (i knew him only from BH 90210 which sucked big fucking dick). The middle Cosby (Malcolm Jamal-Warner) also has some great moments. The guy that plays Marcus (Peter Stebbings) - the leader of movement that wants to unify the world (again - world=USA ) is also a nice surprise. The series have its bad moments, but the climate - the sadness, despair and a little shine of hope makes it really good.
I recommend it for people who like to think sometimes and who like the near-apocalyptic reality and are not afraid of low budget and lack of special effects.
Personnaly i think the second season was much better. Too bad they didn't make more seasons...which also can may be considered good because the second season ends the story.
Still - i'd like to see more if only the main characters (Jeremiah, Kurdy and Marcus) were played by the same guys.
only reason i gave half a shit about the series was because of JMS.. never actually ever got around to WATCHING any of it thought, because the 20 or so minutes i saw of one ep seemed kinda boring...
