I've just got myself an original xbox and was wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to mod it, so I can run homebrew etc.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if it's the best but the splinter cell exploit is very easy to do. All you need to do is modify a controller to plug into your pc, get a memory card and gameshark or whatever it was. Put the save on the mem card, and your set.

PC: i7-4790k @ 4.4, 32GB @ 2400, Nvidia 1080TI FE, 2 TB Crucial MX500 SSD
Nintendo Switch SX OS Pro / PS4 Pro 5.05 Hen/Mira / PS3 Modded / Wii Modded / 360 Pre-Wave4 mod

You can also look up the 'hotswap' method, this requires no extra stuff, just a pc with an ide port.

But of course it's much easier, as said, if you do the 'gamesave' exploit as not even a screw needs to be removed. If you know anyone with a modded xbox, get them to chuck the 'hacked' gamesave on a memory card and borrow a copy of splintercell or one of the other two exploited games. (007/mechassault)

Otherwise you can wire a usb lead into the controller (where the controller cord pulls apart) and use the pc's usb port to put the 'hacked' gamesave on a memory card (via the game controller), then run one of the three exploited games.

check 'xboxscene' for better details

Thanks guys.

So, I wouldn't really need an action replay then?
