What red bar? The progress bar? I've looked at the chair before. Just went there again but nothing new. I cannot speak to anyone anymore, all conversations have finished for now with all characters in the game. Thanks anyway.
Anyone else got any ideas?

@ Foxy22

Yep the progress bar, if it is full then you already have all the elements to resolve the mandate.

Doesn't look full to me, looks empty. The female PPA voice says "you need a lot more elements jack" Yet I've done a lot so far. I don't get it. Sad

The mandate you are looking at is the mandate 4, with the progress bar empty, click on the mandate 2 and show me some screenshots of it. Wink

btw here is the link toward the Sinking Island french forum, you can still try to use babelfish/google Language Tools or ask me to translate. Smile

AH! Now I fully understand. I clicked on the second jigsaw piece which I now understand to be mandate 2 and it highlighted in a different colour. Then I noticed in my clue database the progress bar is red and full. There are now several slots to place declarations and items to complete mandate 2. So yes you were right, I was looking at mandate 4 with the empty progress bar. I didn't realise about this. Thanks! So I haven't even got mandate 3 yet. Smile

You have to do the mandates as much as possible in the good order (from left to right, on each rows, and from top to bottom), the informal numbering is following this order.
Selecting a different mandate will present you a different question that you will have to answer be submitting a number of evidence(s), you can start to try to submit evidences when the progress bar is full for that mandate which tell you that you already have all the evidences for it. Choose some evidences for a mandate by putting them on the left, when all boxes are full click ok and it will tell you if the evidences are relevant or not, if yes then the mandate will be completed, your character will give a call and the story will go on.

$en$i, thanks. I actually edited my post above yours just before seeing your last reply.

Now I just have to try and figure out which declarations and other things go into those empty boxes to finalise mandate 2. At least I can progress in the game now!

Well, not surprising, they didn't provide a manual with instructions! At least, there's no manual with mine. Neither did they put a map into the game that you could just click on to be transported to another area instead of all the running back and forth! Lol.

Well, now I'm faced with 9 things to put into these boxes. I keep getting
" erroneous deduction" Quite difficult. I'll figure it out I guess Laughing

Same here, I had no problems with the puzzles as such in the game, but once I had filled the meter I couldn't figure out exactly which order the game wanted me to put the evidence pieces. And that annoying movie clip that plays when you get it wrong... Ended up using a French walkthrough -_-

It's frustrating that you perfectly know to answer to the mandate but that you have to select the correct clues to close it. And you get no hint whatsoever about the wrong clues you selected.
Apart from that it's an okay game, shame about the horrid voice acting because that is something that adventure games really MUST get right.

Thanks for the walkthrough link. before I look at it though, can you just tell me which bits of evidence here are incorrect? Don't tell me what the correct ones would be, just which are wrong. I can only imagine there's one or two I got wrong. Smile

You probably took a wrong decleration because the other objects are correct, you need 2 from Hubert and 2 from Lorenzo but it's hard to say with only seeing the number.

(I think the number is the order in which you received the clue, so could be different in every game.)

- statement: Lorenzo confirms that he saw everything and that W. Jones Baina attacked.
- statement: Lorenzo saw Nolent at the night, at which W. Jones died.
- statement: Nolent saw Baina and Lorenzo last night outside.
- statement: Nolent saw, how Lorenzo away-coagulated last night of the turtle platform.

The statements, according to what Blueskyz just posted are all the same ones I used.
So maybe something else is wrong. Assuming that " Nolent saw, how Lorenzo away-coagulated last night of the turtle platform." means " Nolent clearly saw Lorenzo running from the belvedere last night "

EDIT: Ok solved. In my screenshot, I swapped the middle picture bottom row for a nolent picture.

If you understand French, here is another walkthrough. L'île Noyée is the French title.
