|
 |
I currently have 5 HDD in my chasis and about to get a 6th. But before I do so, I want to reduce the slight vibrations that the current HDD create.
Presently, 3 x HDD are housed in 3.5" drive bays and 2 x HDD are in 5.25. The new HDD will also be housed in a 5.25 bay.
Anyone have any recommendations for 3.5 and 5.25" bays? So far, for part of the solution these may do the trick.

put all disks on the ground of your case, put rubber spacers between them. use metal plates with holes in it to hold em in place, no idea what the english word for it is - you can buy them in any store that sell tools.
put a 120mm fan infront of it and you are done.

i have seen some great conversion frames where you can put 5 drives rotated 90 degrees into 3 x 5,25 slots with anti-vibration-rubber-stuff. I think i saw it in a modding thread at [H], but cant really remember...
